To be fair they probably thought, like most other human beings with any compassion in them, that any poorly residents would be taken into hospital for care

But surely prevention is better than cure. Preventative measures should have been taken if even a slight incling of what was going to happen

It's not the norm for elderly in care to be admitted to hospital, so I doubt they'd be that for granted.

I mean he relishes discussing death rates whist at the same time miss labelling them. He was a nurse and he now makes money out of talking about death on Youtube.

Even mere nurses are clever you know,especially one as experienced as him,he is a teacher now with an interest in this pandemic trying to explain in layman's terms

exactly and believe it or not the The nhs have 100s of people being paid lots of money working in procurement to source and get all of this stuff

They don't use anywhere near the amount of PPE usually,they need vast amounts and the gov has to provide it,the nhs trusts trusts have their own budgets and buy their own but they need masses more as well,it is an extreme situation and the gov takes over

Well todays post included a couple of masks for me and the wife from the local Counncil here in Spain.
Coincided with the plans by Spain's President for 4 stages to return to normal, 0, 1,2 and 3.
No timescales but depending on different Provinces the stages are starting now.
Initially 0 means kids walks and adult walks.
1 is opening some shops including cafes etc but only patio areas 3 is fully opening but social distancing maintained.
Probably including staggered opening for older people in early to late mornings only.

Details will follow but stages must be earned by results not time dependant.
No moving from stage 0 Province to a different higher stage Province.
Already started but details will emerge.

They're hammering the government 24x7 - especially the TV ones with no fucking intellectual rigour whatsoever. They should:
1. Describe the current state (we are where we are).
2. Describe the problems to be addressed.
3. Describe the chosen option and other options available and th impact of each.
4. Pass comment on the governments chosen option or delay in choosing a option.
Instead they just blamestorm.
Complete toss heads in a national crisis. They are just full of there own fucking importance.

Have you been in some of the private care homes?
The owners don't like shelling out for decent food, let alone extra PPE.
I wouldn't let them look after my dog
