50 Years On

I remember being so disappointed that the match wasn't live on TV because of that Chelsea-Leeds replay, had to watch the highlights later. I went to all the home games on the way to the Final, the Bilbao and Schalke performances were superb. Too young and too poor to get to the European aways then.

Exact the same for me. I remember being really nervous about the Schalke game - needlessly as it turned out. I would have loved to go to Vienna but I was only 14 and skint.

I fell asleep listening on my shitty transistor radio... woke up in the morning not knowing who’d won, dad had already gone to work and my mum bless her was as clueless as ever in all things football related. Had to wait until I got to school to find out the result!! Happy daze indeed

nice, some good insights.

i was passed down a ticket stub from that game by my grandfather years ago, and it got lost in a house move about 10 or 12 years ago, gutted about it still

I was there went with Stuart Gibson(Stan Gibson was his dad) got Tommy Booths shirt when I got on pitch at the end had to jump into a moat round the pitch and ran on and got the shirt it is now in the City Museum for all to see got invited to party with players at the night but we could not go because we did not have a change of clothes(was soaked and gutted). Good Memories
