It gets even better as it finds its feet, Kev. The theme music for the 1st series or so didn't help for me....always found it a bit creepy.

Finished Band of Brothers today. First time I have watched it since the first release. Just magnificent story telling, filmmaking and acting. I had forgotten how good Damien Lewis was in it. I think the best film/series I have seen about war. If you haven’t already seen it, do and thank me later.

Too violent in my opinion and much of it unnecessary. The hand to hand combat scenes are absurd - he’s ex-army not ex-Avenger!

I’ll see it through but it could have been a lot better. Too cliche in a lot of aspects

Yeah agree. Looking for something new to watch and had high hopes for this but it's s bit daft so far (2 episodes).
His fighting skills as you say........and then the machine gun and hand grenade battle at caravan site.
Guess it's just not a show going for a realistic 'gangs' scenario.
