Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

Watched the BBC news earlier. The clip re restarting the season was prime LFC TV. Entire footage was Anfield... the BBC is an absolute Dipperfest right now.
I dunno, they keep showing Vinny raising THE LAST PL title that was won, just think how much that is pissing them (and the rags) off, I smile every time they show it, another week gone by that they didn't win it.

The season's fucked, we know that, but whatever happens to the title we'll still be the current winners of it.

Seeing as we actually won it.

I'd love for that to get really hammered home when the team's are introduced next season.

We should demand a guard of honour at the Community Shield to really rub it in.

Apart from the fact they were won by City ?

I can.

Ha there is that. Seriously though every other competition rightly would say cancelled due to coronavirus but the league cup wasn't cancelled, it ran to completion and we won it.

Strange how there has been no news from this meeting yet. The past few meetings the news come before 12noon.
Anyone know what time the meeting is today?

Why do you say that?

Just means 1 team has a free weekend every week. They seem to be managing to do it perfectly well in league 1 after the demise of Bury

The Bury situation was forced

Think of the last game of the season. They are all scheduled to be played at the same time for a reason. Knowing what you have to do gives you an advantage. A team shouldn’t go into the last game knowing that another team has played all their games so they only need a point or whatever.

It’s workable. But it shouldn’t happen. As stated above there’s a reason every league in the world intends to start with an even number and that all final games kick off at the same time

They can work it that the last 6 games all teams have played the same amount of games like I say anything workable for one season not like it’s going to be like that for ever more.

Fair point. I hadn't thought of the last weekend of the season. Bury were due to play Fleetwood at Gigg Lane and Fleetwood are currently in a play off position. Headache for the EFL
