I think there was spells where his form dipped and I think it was Bournemouth at home around Christmas, he seemed to have little ‘appetite’ for the game.

Not unusual in young players though that inconsistency, sometimes we forget how young he is, and being actutely sensitive to form.
He's 24 mate

Ignore the troll. you were bang on with the liverpool reference. If we didnt win that its doubtful we would have won the league. That set the tone and momentum for our challenge and put the shits up the dippers.

how am I being a troll you clown, that game was in January, yes it was a big big win but was still a long way to go and we were still 4 pts behind at that point. So wasn’t a title deciding goal, didn’t even send us top ffs

If he didnt score it we wouldnt have caught them based on their run in results. Its a nonsensical argument anyway, every goal in a title win is a title winning goal.

Fair comment, my bad. The age reference was as an explanation of dips we have seen in his form historically.
I'd say they're down to concentration and application. He's got the best coach in the world playing in a system that is made for him. He has no excuses. Look at the improvement raz has made under Pep. He's had three consecutive 20+ goal seasons.

I don't think he has the drive to go to the next level. Moving back to the Bundesliga would verify that. It's a backwards step

Correct imo , Sterling has listened to Pep and worked on his game . Sane seems to resent the " criticism" which Pep has handed out and then sulked .

If sterling is having a bad game it looks worse because he still goes and looks for it, misses chances, he's there for the next one.

Leroy plays hide and seek on an off day. He's a fair weather player, in my humble opinion

Well I would argue even Raz has hardly had the best couple of months since November onwards and maybe Sane would have had that consistent year this year, injury preventing us finding that out.

Not sure I agree with the 22/23 though. Lots of players develop at different rates dependent on their environment etc.

You could be right on Sane though and I did write that in an earlier post that his potential is unlimited but I am not sure if he will fulfil it. Hope he does.

Such a pity that it won't be with City.

Gareth Bale found consistency and he was a very late developer, he had it by 22, 23 he had gone to Madrid for massive money. If a player hasn't consistency at 22/23 it isn't there. By that stage they'll have well over 100+ games played and are fully developed physically

Our very own KDB, 28 now is a much better player now than he was in 2016. Bernardo Silva is 25, but his form this year is in contrast to last year. Mo Salah a much better player now than when he was 22/23, Sadio Mane the same. So many more factors than just age in my opinion.

Consistency is week to week, having a floor. Bernardo never drops below a 6 out of 10.

Leroy could be an 8 one week and 2 the next and you never know when it's going to happen. Pep doesn't trust him. It's why he went and got Mahrez

He probably won’t be though. Doubt it will be a price most fans like but better than nothing.

yeah he probably wont be here and to be honest i dont want him to be here as I dont want any player with his attitude/approach/ego

For me we should play hardball with him an dbayern - let him rot in the reserves - 30m is insulting - double that and we can start talking.

What a complete load of utter fucking bollocks, the contract has been on the table for 2 years plus in which he would have been getting paid a significantly higher wage, equating to roughly £8-10m. Not only that but we would probably have increased that contract again 12 months later just like we did with De Bruyne, Sterling, Bernardo, Ederson and Laporte; to put it down to just "money" is frankly ludicrous. Bayern aren't exactly known for paying extortionate wages either.

Sane may very well make that back with a big fat signing on fee but it's a huge risk on his behalf considering the potentially career threatening injury he's returning from, I'm not sure even Jimmy Carr's accountant wouldn't take that risk.

And quite frankly if you've never left a job for one with more pay - more fool you!!

He could make back what he has lost in signing on bonuses - Im sure he will
Long term he will be signifcantly better off and that is the way he is looking at it. Short term loss possibly but longer term much more money

I also didnt put it down to mony - the main reason as ive mentioned a few times is his ego and thining he is too good to have to fight for his place - or a lack of desire/strength of charachter to want to fight for it.
