brilliant . the Dad is a Newcastle fan. i might lose that one :)
My son in law is staunch Everton but I managed to get the oldest now 18 City he won on the middle the youngest doesn't like football yet.

Oh dear,
In Spain we cannot enter a supermarket without first gel washing hands then donning free plastic gloves. The local Council provides us with masks via post.
Lidl have even stopped using baskets and insist use of trolleys to help with distancing.
Tomorrow some Provinces have qualified for stage 1 relaxation but no relaxation of the PPE measures I said.

Doctors here all say masks and gloves are of little use and to wash hands and keep your distance.

Which is why you need to wipe everything down with anti bacterial wipes when you get your shopping home.

Basically, anything that is in the public domain that they can/have touched is a contamination risk.
Presumably any measures taken by the store will stop CV entering via its customers but if you want to be super careful regarding the stores internal vetting and handling of its stock then I can understand your care.

Where I live in SE Spain (Almeria) our local town (about 30k pop) has not had a single case of CV during the whole of the lockdown with the local hospital having treated successfully just 14 cases from surrounding towns.
Part of this was helped by police stopping outsiders from entering except on business but all measures work when used together.

Given that over here our stores don’t even ‘police’ their own rules of following a one way system and ensuring their own staff maintain social distancing, not to mention the fact that I have no way of knowing if any member of the public has touched a product that’s on the shelf, I take extra precautions. Especially as we do the shopping for my Mum who is 85.

Yes, certainly masks are not perfect for personal protection but the Spanish recognise it is to show others that you are wearing it to protect others.
Those without a mask certainly stand out.

As the virus is a virus and not bacteria they are ineffective, from my understanding anyway

You are correct. Having checked the wipes I’ve been using, they also sates they are effective on 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, so the term anti bacterial that I used was misleading. That said, as Covid 19 is an entirely new virus that no one has got to grips with yet, I cannot be certain the wipes do have any affect so it seems, my small degree of comfort has gone!

Seems many are not taking it seriously or should I say laughing at it as a slogan.

The rules johnson has put out appear to be exactly what we are doing now so this change in slogan seems to have been as a gimmick to look like the government are on the ball and doing something, but has made them look more incompetent than already
