Bayern had an interest in Sane when he was at Schalke. Interestingly they were trying to influence his agent to run his contract down when City stepped in - paid the going rate - and signed him. That modus operandi keeps being displayed over and over by Bayern despite your on-going denials.

You are supposing we are having to buy a replacement. We are not buying a replacement for Sane.

His book value at the club is roughly £7.5m per year, so holding him to his contract technically results in us offsetting that next year, not a huge amount, but certainly not a free transfer black hole per se.

Loew has his own way of choosing players. I didn't see you complaining when he inexplicably told Mueller, Hummels (and Boateng to some extent) that they would not feature in his selections anymore.

Yes, in 2016. Sane moved to Manchester City because of Pep Guardiola. His dad said he would have moved to Bayern if Pep was still there. But that's a whole different story to what happened in summer 2018 vis-a-vis Bayern and Sane, i.e. exactly nothing.

City offered Sane a new five-year contract worth £110,000-per-week in April 2018 - expecting him to tear it up at the World Cup and also because they had got wind Bayern had recently made contact with Sane's mother.

Robben's contract with Bayern expired on June 30 2019 - Sane was poised to sign the extension with City when he was omitted from the Germany World Cup squad camp.

Bayern had laid the ground for this transfer a long time ago.

Bayern and the German NT are almost at war not helping each other out. There were even threats by Bayern to not release German players for the NT anymore. You go to Germany and say this theory, people would just stare open mouthed, or laugh. It's just as farfetched as a claim that the Sheikh is actually extraterrestrial.
