I have a whole family of teachers. They want to get back to work but simply can't see how it can be done with social distancing - especially in Primary Schools.
The bubble idea that Worcestershire are going with works with a 1/3 of kids in school but can't be expanded.

The Department of Health has said its figures showed 34,466 people have died in the UK after testing positive for coronavirus.

The total, as of 5pm on Friday, is up by 468 from 33,998 the day before.

This includes care homes and the wider community as well as hospitals.

It comes after health officials from each UK country earlier revealed individual totals for hospital deaths.

In the 24-hour period up to 9am on Saturday, 136,486 tests were carried out or dispatched for 78,537 people, with 3,451 testing positive, the DoH said.

Overall a total of 1,742,028 people have been tested of whom 240,161 tested positive.

They can't see how social distancing can be done because it can't be done. There's tacit and explicit acceptance of that from everyone, most notably in the DfE guidance. It's deliberately abstruse, and has no science/data at all to back it up. That's what we want to see and then an informed decision can be made. We've asked for it consistently and nothing has been forthcoming. Let's see what this week brings because it needs to be seen soon.

Ive said this about a planned demo being held in a large park local to me. What should happen is the authorities say that they are welcome to come and gather, but bring a tent and plenty of food because we are locking it down and isolating you all for 14 days and longer if anyone of them starts to show symptoms. Take their names and NI numbers on entrance and tell them that by the way, if it spreads through their encampment of fuckwits then they are on their own, the hospitals wont take them because they are too reckless to be worthy of their care. Cunts.

Are you referring to this? He wasn't far off the mark, if so. Not everything he posts/says is based on scientific facts, but scientific possibilities. When fatality stats were at their worst, he was quick to point out the possible slowing of infection rates. It's not putting a spin on things as such, but finding positives in a world filled with negatives. That's ok in my book, infact the world could do with more like him.

UK is included in that I believe. They've had two months of strict measures in an attempt to bring the number of cases down and now it could easily be undone with this.
