DER SPIEGLE was a Qatar attack in my opinion, and not from another football club,or has that been decided and ive just skipped a few dozen pages :)

maybe, maybe not but Gill, Parry & the rest of the hateful 8 have been trying to take advantage of the situation.

Any audit has a scoping document, they may uncover things but the audits findings will be based on the “scope”.

Now talking of scoping documents has just triggered a memory, was it that UEFA didn’t provide a scope for the investigation??

They could do a 'qualified' audit - which are rare - but auditors did one this week on the clothing firm Jigsaw.

It would mean the auditors cannot satisfy themselves that the accounts paint a true picture and fair reflection of the company's finances.

Can they please wait till June 7th I go back to work in Liverpool then would be a real shame to miss the candle stall coming out.
I must confess to having a teensy weensy hope that the dippers get the news
that City are exonerated, and that Dipper FC has got employees bound for chokey
imminently, the minute before they lift the Trophy.
Or, to exacerbate the deflation, immediately afterwards.

I'm not sure how you've worked this out.

There's currently about 500 football journalists sitting around desperate for something to write about, and millions of football fans so desperate for football that they'll watch Mainz vs Koln on TV, but you think the perfect time to "unleash the shit storm" is just after all the football comes back?

If you wanted to bury a story, you'd release it the weekend the football came back and the fans and journalists suddenly had a million things to think about for the first time in 3 months.

If you wanted a story to make an impact, you'd release it during the biggest sporting news vacuum in living memory, not just after that vacuum has been filled.
Not when people are dying at the height of a pandemic, when football returns and people are tuned into it is the best time

See Parisian's post a few pages back - we were grouped with PSG as everything that is wrong with football and PSG were subject to similar scrutiny.

Most likely explanation is that it is a war between football agents. IIRC PB said the same sometime ago.

I know FFP was altered in its design to target us and any similar clubs that came after us to protect the established elite (and loosened when some of them fell foul of it), but our appeal at CAS is about the process of the judgement against us according to UEFA's rules. I have got my hopes up previously from things written on here but the bastards have always managed to stitch us up. I get quite enthused by PB's (wow if true) and others posts. Like most blues I know the whole thing is a corrupt attempt to stop us getting ahead but supporters of nearly every other club have been pushed the idea that we are the bent ones, and the WhatsApp group push the idea that our owner is an evil empire. We have to win to restore our name and shut the press up (won't stop the usual suspects). It's a court case on procedures and rules and no one except the two sides know now much evidence they have, what has been said already, or the full details of the last judgement against us and its limitations. So I'll continue to hope, I know we are the good guys but will wait and see and trust our directors and lawyers will get the judgement we are expecting.
Let's hope your appeal is successful.

About the opinion of the rival fans, it won't change sadly. You'll be seen as cheaters who have been able to buy their way out by corruption. Their mind is already made. However, the good thing about football is that the spectacle (your playstyle) and your sporting achievements will always overshadow those backroom stuff. Juventus got done for one of the biggest scandals in football (true cheating by bribing referees and proper match fixing, not some alleged inflated sponsorship) not too long ago and has a long standing history of doping scandals but they are still one of the biggest supported clubs around the world, they have a big appeal for top players (de Ligt and Cristiano Ronaldo recently), they are respected and prominent in the industry (Agnelli leading the ECA and designing the next CL).

City just need to keep on winning (with style if possible) titles. Heck, even Chelsea is seen as a big club after their success under Abramovitch. This is the prestige given by a CL win (Liverpool was more praised than City who had won everything domestically).

City is too big to fail now.

But someone placed the emails about us with Der Spiegel - out of the millions of emails hacked how can it be explained that the only major story Der Spiegel ran was the one on us. You can’t tell me that’s the juiciest story Pinto found? Safe for a story on Ladyboy that was already in the public domain and a few issues re the agent fees paid in the Pogbad transfer again already in the public domain.

We were probably the major story but there were loads of articles published across EIC. Scroll down in this link here:

Also, don't forget the Football Leaks book which was before the articles on us and led to the Ronaldo tax investigations etc

Confused now, isn’t TH implying there is no shit storm?

I'm just not aware of any cache of incriminating info we are holding on to.

Doesn't mean we don't have it, but in terms of a strategic plan to take specific clubs down, I wouldn't have the foggiest.

My own confidence for winning is from Khaldoon's adamant assertions to internal staff.

I don't see the need to establish who to believe between myself and PB? We are mates, we speak regularly.

It is also a good thing for this board that two separate sources for information can have differing opinions.

Thank you for that link. Amazing.

For all those who think Qatar is behind it, just search the words Qatar (4 matches) or PSG (32 matches) and see how many articles are on this list. And you even have articles on Neymar (9) and Mbappé (8).

City has 41 matches.

I believe that both PB and TH post in good faith .

It is possible that their respective sources of information don't necessarily align , but it doesn't make either of them more or less credible imo.

I suspect that most of the posters/readers on here are extremely grateful to them both for providing the information that they do, as having only the media to rely on is clearly of no fucking value due to the rag/dipper virus which has spread throughout it.

The time to do it is when it hurts them the most. And that time is when they're on the verge of getting the title. Imagine the pictures of the PL trophy being delivered to Anfield at the same time that some of their senior staff are being led out in handcuffs.

Sorry PB but nothing will reflect on the dippers IMHO. They’re the darlings of Europe.
I also fear we’ll be shafted

If you want an individual I'd say Gill or al-Khalaifi. But it's a little more complex than that.

There's the US-owned PL clubs - rags, scousers and Arsenal, plus Spurs probably - who want the PL run their way.

There's the old G-14 cartel - the three above, Bayern, Real, Juve etc - who don't like the idea of a nouveau riche club spoiling their little backslapping party.

Then there's PSG, also in the G-14 group surprisingly, who don't like us for geopolitical reasons.

Sounds too big an enemy for us to beat!!

Thanks for the clarification. Please be assured that I wasn’t trying to establish who to believe, merely stating my confusion at seemingly different messages. I didn’t mean to cause offence so again thanks for taking the time to reply.
