Another new Brexit thread

For new readers (or those busy yesterday on the Liar Cummings thread) I think mcfc1632 is whining about westdidsblue saying ".....getting Brexit done takes precedence over having a competent government that would have a better chance of saving British citizens’ lives..." which I think was his gloss on what Bill said in the Johnson thread:

Most of the public didn't vote for Liar Johnson in the GE (the pubic might have) but the gloss seems a reasonable extrapolation.

To save another day on this, could mcfc1632 say whether he would rather have an incompetent government costing British lives in a pandemic or get Brexit done. (And that is couched so as not to require agreement that this government is incompetent or that it has cost lives.)

I have suggested the ignore option - always refused

So his stalking and snide comments continue and I go a period without responding

Simply continuing to ignore is insufficient and a response is needed. I then recede back to treating the posts with contempt for a while - hoping that the nonsense stops, but it seems that his craving for my attention is an addiction.

Now - just wait to see how long he can hold out........

My posts are generally (almost always in response to ones from him) again an easily provable fact

I don't post shit like:

I've resisted commenting on this lest it become a bit of an internet 'pile on' which I don't feel you deserve, but you were properly caught being snide yesterday and don't even have the decency to say sorry. Rather Cummings-esque actually in that what you did isn't actually that significant compared to the lack of contrition.

Look, Bill is a decent bloke who I feel I 'know' on here as a poster and a mod. I abhore his politics actually but still see him as fundamentally decent and someone I'd cheerfully have a pint with even if that means talking football rather than politics. It's a shame that you don't have the decency to remember we're all blues who would likely rub along just fine in person, hold your hands up to a mistake and move on.

If you’d read through the whole exchange you will have seen that the main focus of my comment was the hypocrisy shown by 1632. As I said to Bill I think he believes that this government is doing well, other than Johnson being a bit weak. On the other hand 1632 has been slagging off the government’s performance on the pandemic response whilst being fully supportive of their handling of Brexit, and his full agreement that “if he sees Brexit through i dont give a shit” suggests that Brexit is higher in 1632’s pecking order than anything else. In Bill’s case he seems to think that the government are doing as well as possible (not sure how anyone thinks that but that’s another issue) so the same criticism doesn’t apply. In spite of explaining this he’s repeatedly interpreted my comment differently and has been fairly abusive.
