Stupid little things that make you happy.

Walking up to a curry house, and getting that first whiff

Opening and smelling a packet of filter coffee

A woman leaving a note on your car windscreen really massages your ego.

My phone's alert tone (Agueroooooo)

(when my daughter was born) that feeling about 15 minutes before I'd finish work, knowing I'd see her soon

A well poured pint

Salvaging a par, after a particularly bad drive and second shot
What did the note say, lefty?

When a good looking woman isn’t too up herself to smile and say hello when out on an evening lockdown stroll

What did the note say, lefty?

I always used to see her when I did our shopping.

The note said she"really wanted to get to know me better and maybe go out for a coffee sometime" etc, etc

I had a feeling she was interested in me ( I don't wear a wedding ring), but didn't really give it a second thought.

We chatted the next couple of times we saw each other, but I let her down gently, as

I'm a married dad
A good few years older than her
She had a few tattoos (a look on a girl, let alone a woman, I'm not too keen on)
She's got a toddler and a 7 year old
She wasn't a bad looker at all (no pictures), but not as nice as Mrs G.
This was 6 months ago, not seen her since.

I told Mrs G, a few weeks later. At times, she thinks it's funny, although I'm sure she's a bit miffed.

Certainly boosted my ego
