We have had this conversation before. It’s the same moronic and incompetent mindset that underpins the thinking and response to both. Events don’t happen in a vacuum or remain sealed from one another. One begets another. We are currently experiencing a lot of begetting. And not the enjoyable kind either.
I can see how Cummings is involved in both through vote leave and now as the pm's advisor, but I think conflating all these issues just waters down the individual arguments. Same with the covid travel thing. His enemies have made the mistake of conflating the possibly legitimate Durham trip with the definitely wrong Barnard Castle one. If they'd just stuck to Barnard Castle I think it more likely he'd now be out of a job.

I would give today’s FT on the UK response to the pandemic a miss then. It would be a shame to have reality intrude on the fantasy UK that exists in your head. I would also skip the concerning news on track and trace which has been rushed out today and the Govt asking us to stay home under track and trace if necessary but still giving Cummings a pass for transporting his family around the country whilst sick.

And yet ‘nothing has changed’ according to Frost. He should get out more. Cummings can give him a lift.

It's amazing that the people who dismiss the facts as point scoring or politicising an issue are in fact the ones doing all of the politicising themselves.

Swear words again. I use them myself on occasion, but it shows that you have either reached either the end of your expressive ability or intellect and detracts rather.
You need to give a little leeway He’s angry that David Frost won’t do what the EU instructs him to do.

stop being so fucking paranoid man - I think you have a rather inflated view of your own presence too.
Hey - whilst I want to get off this subject I will just respond where necessary....

All I am doing here is outing you for making casual use of the tragedy of the pandemic on this thread

I can understand if it makes you uncomfortable - why not simply stop doing such things - and perhaps also find a mirror.

The desperation of Remainers is a good sign ;)

No such thing as a Remainer any more. The discussion is now between those that want what’s best for the UK after transition and those that want the UK to stick two fingers up at the EU whatever the consequences because they have this deluded belief that they need us more than we need them, and will therefore bend to our will.

But they have to continue to frame it as a Leave vs Remain argument because thats all they have.

Surely they are rejoiners now rather than remainers as the whole leave/remain argument has been had and a decision made?

Good luck with that...

I just want what’s best for the UK. Rejoining isn’t an option and is unlikely to be for some years. I’m more bothered about what happens at the end of this year.

Not much has really changed since 2016 but the next 6 months will see things actually happen and that will be the acid test. I predict failure.
With Johnson’s track record, it’s pretty much nailed on. Johnson’s only success has been to get the gullible to vote for him and he did that by keeping his head down to avoid scrutiny, whilst relying on his media friends to keep the narrative going that the opposition were even worse.
Since being in government all he’s done is sign up to an internal UK border as a quid pro quo for getting GB out of the EU.
He’s utterly failed at everything else.

It has changed though - and yes it will get worse. Which is why they no frame the argument that failure should be blamed on May and her crew as they were all Remainers. You see failure will be disonwed by Leave and placed at Remains feet.

Hence the nonstop irrelevant references to May and Robbins by some people.
