Whatever the outcome I don't think we should ever forget or forgive those eight clubs who petitioned UEFA to have us sanctioned. I will never understand what the likes of Burnley expect to gain, doffing their cap to a group that wouldn't bat an eyelid if they went out of existence through the pandemic or for any other reason.

This is one aspect of the fiasco that I shan't forget. I expect those clubs will have it rammed down their gullets when they next turn up at The Etihad - so much for the 'football family'. Not a single favour, nor a shred of hospitality should be offered to those eight clubs. They have nailed their colours to the Rag/Dipper mast, and we know now where they stand!

Spot on....i will repeat what I said on an earlier post.

It is deserving of a banner to directly call these clubs out

I made the mistake of organising a hiking holiday to Nepal in April without checking the FA Cup semi final dates. Of course City got there.. the Arsenal game in Peps first season. For 3 days I had no reception at all on my phone and no way of finding out the result. My partner would say, 'Wow look at that stunningly beautiful mountain' and 'that's the most amazing sunset I've ever seen'. I'd agree but 5-10% of my mind was wandering and kept thinking... I wonder if we won, are we going to Wembley.

I finally received a text saying we had lost.. typical City spoiling holidays since 2008.
Believe me, you were far better off in Tibet than watching us get totally robbed with one of the worst ever decisions ever made in any big game at Wembley.

Surprisingly their killer man Giroud didn't decide the game; it was Craig Pawson and his officials.

First half goal ruled out by Lino running from the halfway line saying the cross went out of play which replays show clearly didn’t (And linesman was in no position to make the call) and Pawson allowed Gabriel to kick Silva out of the game - two hard challenges from behind - both unpunished. When Kompany questionEd him Pawson told him to shut up - as corrupt an official as you are likely to see that day.

Fuck me. That's a long walk.

Just listened to BT sports writers podcast about the ruling. They are seeing this as City v ffp & if we win this will be the end of ffp. Now don't get me wrong, seeing the back of ffp would be great but surely this case is just about City not complying with e ffp rules.
Absolutely it is. There's this almost apocalyptic view of this as City v UEFA/FFP. It's like someone contesting a parking fine and it being made out as though it's an attempt to overturn the rules about, or whole notion of, parking restrictions.

I have no idea whether it's just people who have no fucking clue what they're talking about or a clever attempt to somehow influence the agenda around this, like Baconface's famous 'mind games'. I've astrong suspicion that it's the former though.

Yep he was a shocker....this was the first time I though about turfing footie in rather than just moaning......I'm still going :)

I would spaff in my pants if this was overturned, FFP was abolished and we get damages.

God, you've tried our patience with Coronavirus, and even worse, Liverpool, but I've got faith in ya big fella!

Anyone read the story that City have ' no strong evidence' going in to this hearing, from a ' source' close to UEFA by all accounts. The infamous ' source' strikes again, lol.
Not like you to appear with something like that, makes a change from we are going to lose every pre-match i suppose

Nice analogy as always PB.

It's not a surprise that the coverage is so lame. It's a hugely complex topic.

I've tried to read everything single thing on the topic since February and its clear that its just too big a topic. On top of that, having no details of the charges or the findings mean the media can't even agree if the leaks themselves are the evidence or if there is other evidence. Evans and Delaney are adamant the "evidence" is not the leaked docs themselves, everyone else says it is the leaked documents.

If UEFA lose it really says nothing of FFP - more than anything these are apparently offences from before 2012. Its 2020. FFP is dead in current form anyway - football is at the start of its existential crisis. It needs every penny of external capital it can get its hands on.

If UEFA lose it will be because they should never have moved on flimsy evidence on difficult grounds. It says nothing about FFP as a policy. The enforcement of FFP (whilst it exists) remains completely viable and numerous clubs are being monitored. If anything signalled the "end of FFP" it was the failure to deal with PSG in 2017 and the failure to enforce fully against City and PSG in 2014.
