We are where we are because of the tendency of humans to ascribe the disagreeable tendencies of a few to the all because it makes life far easier to understand.

Same as it ever was.

This country is at the forefront of equality and has been for some time, it's the wrong part of the world to be smashing up. Some people complaining about Cummins European vacation are now clapping whilst protesters and rioters are spreading this virus chancing a second wave, and if that happens because of this they wont be best liked.

Me too, especially after 90+ days of relative sedentary-ness, but . . . I believe you are anti-fascist, but not part of Antifa. In other words, you would not commit a violent act as an expression of your anti-fascist viewpoint, yes? Therefore, you are not Antifa.

Ok. So, my question is then: where is it written that Antifa commit violent acts? Where is that in their platform or creed? It isn't, because there isn't one.

Now you may have reached the conclusion that it is, or observed that this is what they do. But this isn't the same as an official declaration of war by a nation, or a business plan or charter for a company, or a platform from a political candidate.

It's far easier to ascribe a motive to a loose confederation of near-anarchists or whatever than it is to an organization with a declaration, platform or charter who spell out what their motive is.

That's the difference between a group and a label IMO.

It was a general observation with today's highlight being someone offended by the MOBOs . Why so defensive?

I took you off ignore earlier because I'm tired of fighting with you even though we disagree on the US it seems dumb when so many other meteorites are banging away at the earth and we don't completely disagree on everything. I hope you come around on Biden just for the sake of sheer expediency and pragmatism but anyhow sorry for being a dick for so long and I hope you will forgive me.
