So ffp suspended for just 12 months means really you can’t spend to big if you have to comply a year later!
I assume so.
As contract value gets spread across the contract length, high transfer fees would affect later years.
spending 500M this summer on players given 5-year contracts would put 100M on each of the next 5 years from the transfer, and then wages, etc on top.
It makes sense to me to do something, as the club financial planning for this season has been cut into, and next year is likely to be affected as well.

Debt needs to be addressed maybe you can have debt but you can only have repayments of say 50% of your overall net profit on debt repayment?

The chances of them addressing debt are zero given the debt these clubs carry due to their business models.
FFP is about stopping competition and has nothing to do with giving a shit about saving clubs from going under.

True but if we win the cas case and our turnover increases that much in the future we surpass the history clubs with big profit then ffp will be looked at seriously and they will see how they can alter it to disadvantage us again.

Not for a second do i think us winning this CAS case or even losing it, stops their game plan.
This will not stop until they have finished us off.
So ffp has been suspended for 12 months!!!!
Timing is a bit dodgy a week after CAS
This basically gives a free pass to the cartel to keep spending big and worry later about the consequences

I'd like to ask Turkey Neck Henry what was the losing bid when the criminal money laundering Standard Chartered were awarded Littlewoods' main sponsorship.

There next assault will be on limiting the number of clubs you can have an Interest in - they are terrified by our business model which, ultimately will see us overwhelm the G14 clubs - in their opinion we have to be stopped by any means.

but it does give them time to ask for millions in loans from the governments without punishment ?? the elite clubs should not be in such a mess and debt ridden and this mess would not have happened ? get your clubs in order start to clear your debts not hide them

Well that ain’t going to happen, we will have set backs but with our owner we will be there or there about! You don’t buy nine other clubs and maybe a lot more if you going to just sit back and do nothing.

Yep and roles reversed City with the massive debt and hiding god knows what in the Cayman Islands I can bet you that there would be a rule that no football club can use the Cayman Islands banks. It’s bent.

No it doesn't. Just read up on what's happened.
All this does is spread out the max yearly losses over 2 years. So you can make a loss that would breach FFP this year as long as you make up for it next year.

In view of the short hearing I think they've either ruled very firmly in favour of one side or very quickly declared it a matter for higher courts to rule on.
Is that a possibility? That CAS might rule it’s above their remit and will need referring to a higher court?
