Anyone else think this might be linked to the change in tone from the NFL on taking the knee and generally supporting the BLM movement. Trump was asked about Kapernick the other day and did his best to say he should be allowed to return:

So literally within a few days of the above he decides to drop in to conversation there might be no sport in 2020 even though he is having mass rallies (NFL would start in August and regular season ends in December - i.e. its in 2020). Something going on?

Fauci doesn't give a shit about what Trump thinks or wants. Which is why Trump stopped him speaking publicly.

I doubt Trump has even considered there being no sport.

Trump wants the 'appearance' that everything is back to normal so he can do his petty victory lap before the election. Even though COVID deaths are on the increase in many states, he's just sweeping it under the carpet and pretending it isn't happening (apart from making people who attend his rallies sign a waiver so that they can't sue him if they contract the virus) His upcoming Tusla rally is a MASSIVE gamble, and quite possibly the last throw of the dice for him.

If Trump doesn’t manage to gerrymander and cheat his way into office for a 2nd term, the protection his son currently has will disappear and he will be spending the rest of his sorry life spending his inheritance on lawyers trying to keep him out of jail. If justice is done, he will be locked up for numerous financial fraud, tax avoidance and treason related crimes. Ideally he will be locked up in an African prison for shooting protected wild animals.

Having said that I doubt his inheritance will be worth much after most of Trump’s assets get seized to pay off his debts.
