The Marseille situation is interesting in its leniency. This is a breach of a settlement agreement (the second chance) almost as soon as its been entered into and the fine is €3m plus 15% of UEFA revenues (not total revenues). All pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Are Marseille a threat in the big scheme of things

Possible reasons for leniency with Marseille

Not a threat

small breach

They know city have won and do not want to be done again

Corona virus is all or part of the reason for the breach

Hoping its the third one

None of those certainly not 1, 3 or 4

How can you be so sure though all the time Stefan? I know you have legal experience etc but no one has any idea besides the club about these things?
1 is obviously my opinion not fact. 3 would have had no bearing and its very unlikely that the AC know CAS's decision. 4 is fact - the financials that would have been delivered are all pre-Covid so its nothing to do with Covid.

If at any time you read a post as I am talking as if I know, just stick "IMO" before it. I am not ITK on anything something I always make clear.

Not seen this mentioned yet, and it’s perhaps not hugely relevant to our case, but thought it was worth sharing anyway:

None of the reports mention how much Marseille breached FFP by. Still it's good news for Al Khelaifi and his cronies at UEFA and PSG (who obviously got a free pass for their huge breach)

15% of UEFA revenues would still put us in a difficult position FFP wise for future breaches.

Would we throw back to take a fine or would we keep hammering the point?

Would love to agree but think it’s much more likely that UEFA are playing it safe as CAS did raise legitimate concerns first time round of UEFA leaking to the press. If they did it this time they would seriously jeopardise their chances.

but It surely wouldn’t matter now if they leaked it if we have been found guilty?

I've decided we won and we're in the clear, purely on the basis that if this were not the case there would have been snide press leaks by now.
Wow - I just came on to post something that

When I looked earlier it was page 3456 and now only 2 more pages - so clearly no news!!

The experience of decades makes be not want to think positively, but if we have been slapped down - surely the G14 fuckers would not be able to control themselves.

It's equally feasible that no decision has actually been made yet, hence the lack of leaks.

I'd be surprised if CAS informs either party before the other and probably only 24-48 hours before it being public. I think this leaves us to read between the lines as to confidence.

UEFA have been really tight - no public rumours at all as far as I have seen - if they have said things to journalists I haven't heard it or seen on it Twitter. Not heard any of the usual suspects in the media give any feedback on how UEFA feel.

From City, a couple of people have said the vibe internally is positive but who knows if that is new news or parroting the strident views of the club pre-CAS. There have been no positive signs on transfers which is a lead indicator - I don't think we are currently acting as if we know we are clear. Likewise with Pep contractually (no decision, no positive noises) and his tone is generally downbeat(ish) or neutral (good external reasons for that of course).

I think, on balance, at this stage, the parties simply don't know.

True but nothing has even leaked out about how the hearing went. The key players at UEFA will have a good idea and have historically shown themselves to be totally incapable of keeping anything under wraps. The usual route has been from someone at UEFA via gossip to our commercial rivals and then from them to the media. I agree about the actual decision. I don't expect anything to leak from CAS until perhaps the last minute after both parties have been briefed.
