...munich should be done for tapping up. its clear they got to sane and this was over 12 months ago and he had more than 2 years left on his contract. plus publicly they have said they want him and that is wrong so city should take action

I think we've had that discussion often enough. Domestic and FIFA regulations about contacting players are different and if they didn't negotiate with Leroy without informing City it was in line with international rules, even if you have the feeling it wasn't.
Zero chance for any "action".

Do the right thing and extend your contract Leroy so we can obtain a proper sell price.

We've put up with this tapping up shit for a year and paid him hansomely for a season sat out through injury, fully rehabilitating him in the process. Least he can do

munich only want him on the cheap and if he signed a loan term contract at city munich would not be anywhere near him and the cost would be around £150million ?

Hey, come on, RB, there hasn't been a tackle at Anfield since the massacre at Spion Kop that hasn't been textbook, coaching book manual, clean as a whistle, pure as driven snow - unlike their welcome for opposition coaches.
Well it must be difficult to tackle when they spend so much time waiting for those cultured interstellar short passes to come back down from the stratosphere.

true the fight vs being the number 1 hated club because of the money will go on and on
i fear the elite in this case and the power they could have over something out of the football hands of CAS and if city lose this case the elite would be unstoppable and no mount money could challenge them that's the fear

city on the home front are unstoppable and the premier league and cups are good enough for me. but the owners want more and european football is number 1 target each season. do we bite the hand on the devil and take a lesser punishment and say ok we will play ball

right back to sane ? munich should be done for tapping up. its clear they got to sane and this was over 12 months ago and he had more than 2 years left on his contract. plus publicly they have said they want him and that is wrong so city should take action
Yes I agree Bayern should be done for tapping up, but you and I know they wont be. One final point, before being told we are on the wrong thread, bullies, in this case the g14, always get their come uppance. Whether Im here to see it I dont know, but I hope I am.

The first step back we have taken since the departure of Vedran Corluka
Would have to disagree with this Maestro, he's played some decent games and scored some important goals but its questionable if he's ever been the key player for us in the same way Sterling, Aguero and KDB have the past few seasons. If anyone thinks that we won't replace him with someone of quality who has the right attitude week in week out then I would look back at the last 3 seasons.

Nothing to see here folks, say our goodbyes and fuck him off for someone who wants to be here.

sane for me can leave right now get him off our wage bill and lets get some money for him

they say one players does not make a team ? and the world class players need the work horses ? manchester city will be ok and will go on winning silverware without sane and one door closes another opens for somebody else

Yep we should've. On the one hand the club and Pep and fans say players who don't want to stay are free to leave, but last summer the club didn't strictly follow that route. We demanded what 137m? and to me it was too far above market value. IMO Bayern would have paid just below 100m and yes it was not easy to find a proper replacement - but we didn't follow our philosophy which is always risky.

Playing Leroy instead of Jesus in the shield was nonsense and far too risky. I still can't believe we did that. What a nogo on the financial risk level.

Anyway, it happenend.
For now, I think Bayern need and want Leroy now instead of next summer given their winger situation. IMO Leroy's market prize after injury would be still around 80m € and Bayern have to pay >60m € certainly. Indeed Leroy can't risk another unwanted year here and Bayern can't risk to let another club step in the race.

No way was 137m above market value. it was fair. We maybe would have accepted less, but bayern needed to get into the ball park at least, and they were about 70m off with what they claimed through the media the maximum they would pay would be. And there was a week left in our transfer market to find a replacement. He wasn't going anywhere last summer, that was bloody obvious, not because of our refusal to sell, but because of Bayern's, to make an appropriate offer.
So i have no issue with us having played him in the shield. He was our player, he was available. It was unfortunate, for many reasons, but i cant argue with the reasons for playing him. The season was starting less than a week later, was he not meant to play for us in that either?

Will be a shame to see him go - he’s a quality player and a joy to watch when in full flight.

Can’t really blame him though. Still young enough to go elsewhere and become a legend at a club and to do that at the biggest club in your country would be quite appealing.

you have to have big balls and work amazingly hard and talent alone will not be enough ? nobody is questioning the talent sane has but pep does question his work rate for the team ? like i said it could be worst ? it could be liverpool or united he wants to play for. going to the german league is ok for manchester city in terms of danger to us long term but as for champions league and meeting munich its ok to. because i would think city would have his number and know a early kick letting him know our fullbacks are not messing around
