Palace were a disgrace last night. Sat back and not a single touch in the box. Compare them when they played us at The Etihad. It was like their cup final.

Just another thing thing Liverpool had over us this season is that a lot of teams just roll over for them

Tbf we are the champions, amd part of that burden is being everyone's cup final. Another thing Liverpool will have to contend with next season.

Liverpool are a fucking awesome team, people saying it's all down to var is rubbish, we are behind them points wise because what we have failed to do, 7 defeats is not champions form, its down to defeats like fucking Norwich ect that has hurt us not var

Their fans are still horrible cul,/nts though

Makes me laugh when people say they are not a good team. They are fantastic. They've won big trophies two years running now and you don't do that by being shit. Are they better than us? This year, yes. There is, though, no doubt that VAR has contributed. Would they have won the league anyway? Probably but the Jesus goal v Spurs I will never forgive. It was bent as they come and no VAR decision has been given like it since.

When they win the league we should send their fans just simply an *

Only joking, their first XI is awesome and have the ability to blow away almost every team and no one can deny they’ve deserved it this season. But football isn’t about the first XI, it’s about the squad... or is it?

Pains me to say it but they will be deserved champions, hopefully it'll spur our players on for next season

I hope we beat Chelsea tonight just so we have the chance to show the fawning media and world who the best team is at the Etihad. They are gonna win it yes and deservedly so, but would be nice to leave them with a sour taste to it all.

Be funny if they win it tonight and then we absolutely wipe the floor with them next week, first game as champions and they are slaughtered.

F

Foden seems to be doing alright...

Foden is getting there and hopefully continues to get stronger and improve. That said we have lost Kompany and are losing Silva, two world class players. Sane is going who on his day is also world class. Fernandinho is coming up 35 and Aguero is not getting any younger. We went with what we had this season and it wasn't good enough, certainly for the standard Liverpool have set. We need some world class additions and not signings like Cancelo.

I don`t believe we`ll beat Chelsea but if we do and we can then beat the Dippers then lets make it uncomfortable. As you say its just prolonging the agony for us.
Most of us have had more than our fair share of agony watching City over the years.

I’m certainly happy for a few more weeks of it :)

They’ve definitely been the better team, but their points total flatters them to say the least.
Exactly - both elements of this simple post can be true without expunging the other.

More consistent team, presented with enormous advantages throughout the season which has meant that we have been unable to apply any pressure to them at all.

No guarantee we would have been able to reel them in anyway but the landscape would be markedly different if we had returned to a 10 point deficit.

League done.

I'll give them their dues - excellent team. I'd rather lose our title to a decent one than a horrible side like United. No real ego's on the pitch. Hard working. Going to be a good battle next season. The fans however are tw*ts.

And have to give them a guard of honour?I'd rather poke my eyes out with a sharp stick
Rather that than
1. Giving them the chance to win it at our place (although I think we’ll beat them).
2. Them winning the title once the pubs are open and fans can properly celebrate.

Who cares about a guard of honour in an empty stadium when our focus is on the two cup competitions.

Be funny if they win it tonight and then we absolutely wipe the floor with them next week, first game as champions and they are slaughtered.
I don’t want any part of City being involved in them being champions*.

Turn Chelsea over tonight, prevent the guard or honour, smash the ****s at the Etihad and let them win it on their own time.
