We have something to play for again, and surely will.

I would expect their game closer to Burnley's than Chelsea's, who played an immense 1st half pressing us so high that caused us problems.

WIth a bit more space now we should get our chances and I hope we're greedy to score some.
I want a serious response after Thursday. Don't care about next Thursday.

Pep preview today? Btw, any reason pressers aren't live on our YT channel anymore??

newcastle away is hard at any stage of the season never mind just coming back from the 4 months break. and losing to chelsea and handing liverpool the title. city are hurting and it could really go both ways and with champions league to come we could turn off again

but i think pep is good at wanting silverware and wants to win every trophy if he can. so the players will be well prepared and have a good mind set for this game. city can hurt anybody when it clicks and am talking big teams as well. so Newcastle will have to respect us and keep it tight and hope for that bit of luck they have had in the past over us

St James park is a tough place to go with a big geordie crowd roaring them on (just ask utd last season).
But in a big empty stadium i can see us easily winning this game as if its a training session.
We,ll have too much quality for them

If we are the team and club i know we are , the players will be annoyed at the media frenzy of the Dipper taking our title , it should galvanise us as a club and make us even more determined to beat Newcastle and go on to win the FA Cup along with beating Real and progressing in the Champs league.
We can still have a more succesful season than the Dippers , and make the Rags resurgence look irrelevant

Villa created chance after chance against them the other night.
Newcastle would of felt that they had the beating of Aston Villa at home which would make them more open than normal. They'll set up completely different against us tomorrow. Everybody behind the ball and wait for their one or two opportunities.

It's going to be a very tough game I think a goal could decide it.

Can see us losing this due to us looking dead on our feet at the end of Thursday night's game. Three days rest is fuck all especially coming off three previous games in seven days, and talk of us having a big squad to compensate is bullshit. Can't see Kev playing again as he was blowing badly on Thursday, save him for the scousers. I'd go : Ederson, Cancelo, Zinchenko, Otamendi, Garcia, Rodri, B.Silva, D.Silva, Foden, Sterling, Jesus.

Subs: Carson, Laporte, Walker, Mendy, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Sane, Mahrez, Doyle

Newcastle 1 City 0

I'm not surprised we got beat with that defence

Big game this now...can concentrate on 2 cups play youth in league....probably get fined though.
We need to be much more clinical in front of goal if we put even 50% more of our chances away this year we would have been a lot nearer in the PL. Killing teams off is where we have failed therefore letting teams get a foot in the game ...piss poor defending hasn't helped, letting the odd shite goal in shouldn't matter as we should be 2 clear .
fully expect a good win so 3 1 city.
