Still beats me how people can support Brexit whilst the Government are sitting on a report (despite a petition demanding it be released) which allegedly confirms Russian interference in the referendum (If it didn't it would've been released by now)..... the similarities to the support of Trump are mind blowing.

Surely the Government should be forced to release it / make the results public (no redactions) .... discuss it in parliament and then a decision should be made.

That’s an easy one - they will tell you Russia, bots, lies etc didn’t make a blind bit of difference because people always wanted to leave the EU they simply needed a referendum

Makes you wonder why people spend millions on campaigns and advertising, doesn’t it......

So there it is .... all you leavers thinking that we're going to get a deal ... can forget it.

Mark Francois has just admitted on 'Parler' that it was never the intention to get a deal .... instead we were just to crash out . He states

' We all voted for NO DEAL. Even though Vote Leave said repeatedly that we'd get a deal. NO DEAL was ALWAYS the intention'

then in response to another 'tweet'

'Precisely! If Vote Leave had told everyone we'd leave with No Deal from the off , Remain would've won by a landslide! We were very canny.

He then goes on to say ..... 'Its not lying ....its Politics and we won!'

We are well and truly f@cked now. They're not even trying to get a deal.
It's fake. But they are certainly all lying when they claim they were upfront about the possibility of no deal before the referendum and it's true that "if Vote Leave had told everyone we'd leave with No Deal from the off, Remain would've won by a landslide!"

Did AC realise they were forecasts five months old about what happens with a comprehensive deal? I think we should be told.
AC realised it, don't fret, AC has been reading the increasing hysterical forecasts
here and decided to throw in this one, as it's a little more believable than the
wannabe clairvoyant's efforts. Yes, it's pre covid, which hasn't been confined
to the UK, the EU, has suffered equally, so we're both in the same boat on that score.
The point is, out of the EU, the IMF believed the UK will grow faster, so we'll see
shortly will we not?
Anyway, AC will again take his leave for a while, and watch the rats in a sack show
that's the Brexit thread.

Terrible isn't it - If only May's deal hadn't been blocked by parliament..........

What's up?

Did your trawl around Newsnow not find a better scare story for you - so you have to post some comments from Mark fucking Francois - oh - yeah - we Leavers hang on his every word.

You really need to get over 2016 to give you any chance of getting on with 2021 mate

A really bad deal would have been the position the UK would have if we had been into 2021 having voted Remain - as the EU pads out the MFF and uses it as leverage to force-feed more integration

Just think - the UK could have been shovelling £Billions in to that budget and then having to sign up for commitments that Remainers always said during the referendum campaign were fanciful nightmares - the EU were not planning integration they said - and anyway it would not affect the UK ever

16m or so misguided souls fell for that fairy tale - but we don't slag them off.

An even worse deal would have been what May would have signed the UK up to if she had not diverted from Brexit in the 2017 manifesto and therefore still been the PM

Fuck - the UK had a lucky escape !!!!

If we end up with No-Deal at the end of 2020 it will simply reflect the EU's concerns about the risk (as they see it) of the UK being successful and competitive - and that the UK team had the strength to face the EU down.

That will still be far better than if we had Remained or ended up with May's capitulation.

So in reality we are in something of a No-Lose situation - a deal would be helpful - but not if it requires continued EU controls over the UK's key policies

If we are going to eventually end up needing to get by without a TA with the EU - best get on with it

May got it right (only ever once) when she said that No-Deal is better than a Bad-Deal.

The Eurozone will be fine if they if share debt to enable recovery from Covid-19. If they dont though it will fall apart.
If they do share debt though, they can no longer hide the fact that the EU end-game is a single super state. Which is fine but something most of the UK electorate (65%-75%) is against.

The Eurozone isn’t the EU. We weren’t in it.

Doesn't make any difference to you as you clearly think we are doomed in everything we do regardless. Sadly you appear to be negative in all your opinions on this forum.

Still beats me how some people just can't accept a democratic vote and are still whining and moaning that they lost.

Blocked by labour remainders aswell wasn't it?
Blocked by remainers of all political hues - they decided to go double or quits thinking they could force revoke / remain and fucked up. Safe to say we all 'own' the impending no deal brexit which could have been avoided in March 2019. Remainers at that point could have seen May's deal through and removed the danger of a BJ/Gove/HRG no deal / hard brexit. They were too busy smuggly patting each other on the back and showboating in parliament to recognise their last chance of compromise.

At that stage the risk of No Deal was (seemed) remote. MPs voted against it by 400 votes to 160. There were only 3 votes short in the vote to stay in a customs union, and only 12 short (the DUP...) to have a confirmatory referendum.

It might seem a miscalculation now but that's definitely with hindsight. Who knew Tory MPs would get Liar Johnson on the leadership ballot and that 100,000 Tory members would inflict a serial liar on the UK and that a large minority of the population would vote for him?

Feel free to add "you could have stopped it" to "you lost" but it doesn't change that No Deal would not have won the first referendum or any since, the last election was on its being a million to one against, and a referendum now between Remain and No Deal would (if it were not too late) be a big majority for Remain.

But, feel free to taunt over believed lies and missed opportunities, it's your country you're wrecking.

Absolutely spot on

Whenever I point out that - should there be a No-deal out outcome then the likes of Grieve, Soubry - and of course Corbyn - will shoulder a lot of responsibility - Remainers get all precious.

Does not stop it being true though

Very true, they were arrogant enough to think that they could reject May's deal, force her to have a GE and assume the electorate would then heavily back a remain party. How wrong they were, possibly one of the most humbling defeats in political history. And still you have some on here in total denial of the result. It really is quite embarrassing.

Who’s in denial?

This is how it works.

Daily Express headline

French MEP exposes panic inside Brussels that UK will surpass EU under Boris.

Damning evidence you might think until you read thatJerome Riviere is part of Marie Le Pens fascist party who want out of the EU.

Piss poor journalism.
