Summer Transfers

This will be the last transfer window that we buy players directly for the Man City first team in.
The same for foreign academy players for obvious reasons.

Unless in the case of an emergency or in exceptional situations, from now on our squad will only be strengthened by the academy or CFG teams.

From this summer onwards the transfer window will be mostly focused on strengthening the CFG teams.
That’s some serious statement there fella! You’re basically saying we won’t win another title or champions league again...I can only think of Ajax (in a piss poor league) that have competed at the top of their own league & had the odd decent CL campaign with a squad built on producing their own talent, but even that was supplemented by purchasing players for decent fees.....I’m calling absolute tripe on this fella (sorry!)

Such a statement could only come from Khaldoon himself.

How did you get to your conclusion?

Any air of credibility you once had.... has just disappeared.

Every day my opinions on what our window should look like changes.

Outs: Sane (done), Stones, Otamendi, Mendy/Zinchenko + a whole bunch of the loan army
Ideal Ins: Koulibaly, starting quality LB, Havertz/Sancho and perhaps another CB too.

I watched a few videos of Bennacer from Milan yesterday. This guy is a star. I didn't know he is that good, he is everywhere on the field, excellent passer , small and quick with excellent dribble. The only problem maybe he is too small to play DM

Quote from Lyon president “The loss of revenue from ticketing, sponsorship and TV could see clubs forced to sell players...”

This is due to not continuing the league after lockdown, could be rich pickings from Ligue 1 - Mbappe anyone...?

What I would like (guessing the fees):

OUT:
Sané +49m€
Angelino +18m€
Ota +18m€
Stones +32m€
------------------------
+117m€

IN:
Koulibaly -85m€

Sancho/Havertz -90m€

cherry on the cake: Aubameyang (-50m€) - - - last contract year! SWAP plus cash with Stones
-----------------------------------------------------
-225m€

1 foreign squad place left if Sancho arrives, 1 domestic if Havertz would.

Cancelo would have to be replaced 1:1 if he's unhappy. I would keep him, like Mendy.

50mil for Stones and Otamendi is not happening unfortunately mate. We may have to sacrifice a few more e.g. Zinchenko and Cancelo to get anywhere near that sort of spend.
