I’ve said this on a few occasions on this thread and I’ll repeat it.
Uefa were slapped down and lectured about not confusing their regs with actual law by the ECJ when they were challenged by one isolated Belgian footballer named jean-Marc Bosman after they thought that they were bigger than the law.
It may be that this extraordinary arrogance may still be a factor with them.
Certainly parallels in that with bosman they overstepped the mark as a sports regulatory body and trampled on human rights, and with ffp they (imho) have similarly over-extended their authority and tried to dictate how and what a business man can invest in his own business. Sure, the CL is their competition, but you can't really stop someone investing legally owned funds into a legally held asset.

Is it right what I heArd earlier today that Uefa is a major funder if CAS? Hardly independent

Every organisation that has decisions sent to CAS funds it. So UEFA, FIFA, world rugby, uk athletics, the ECB etc. Etc.

The funding is diverse enough that no one organisation has sway.

Is it just my imagination or is your slip showing?

You seem determined to paint City as fraudulent criminals.

The opposite actually I cannot see how we have ended up here because the insinuation or perhaps even the claims themselves are so serious as to suggest we have done something worse than break or avoid FFP regs with huge consequences. You would not do what we are alleged to have done with the consequences especially with the management and ownership team we have ( other ways to get round FFP if we wanted but then I have been told I am wrong by the legal eagles in terms of potential consequences
