Perhaps the way forward is to spend £100 million on a new stadium that we never actually build. Because that's fair and in no way cheating whatever.

Upgrading the minihad to UEFA 5 star classification. Making Spurs ground look like hackney marshes for exclusive use of major tournaments and a major commitment to the Women’s game. Just because we can.

:)

Apart from the Cheeseman tweet there is absolutely nothing in the UK or global media saying we have won or lost.

This is bizarre as you'd expect some of the huge number of journos / winos / nutters who make up a large proportion of the media to take a punt on the outcome.

Why would they take a punt when the info they have is exoneration?

They are not going to go to press with a story they know is now likely to be false. They would look a bit silly.

There will be little about this in mainstream media, and those that we do see will be of the narrative we have daily across social media.

There isn’t a tabloid who will defend the result and write along the line of our innocence, and maybe even call out the G14, that doesn’t generate clicks or sell newspapers.

The trial by media is complete. We are guilty even when an independent arbitration service tells everyone we are innocent.

We have thrown suitcases of cash at them, didn’t you know?

I thought the details were well known but here we go. Liverpool were on the brink of failing FFP and magicked up £50 million (some sources say £35 million) in 'stadium development expenses' for the Stanley Park Project which had already been abandoned years before. They offset this against their FFP losses and UEFA accepted it despite the sum involved being rather a lot for mowing the grass a few times and maybe getting an inital blueprint knocked up.

There's an article in the Telegraph from 2015 but you might have to sign up for a free trial to read it uninterrupted.

The rules are the rules so CAS would shrug their shoulders at any complaint but if as seems correct if some clubs get away with it and others don't is that something CAS could have looked at?
