You can't take much away from that interview.
It could easily be construed as a concern his emphasis that our players deserve to play in next season's competition because of what they have done on the pitch.
That's him trying to make a point he doesn't really need to make.
It's important this place doesn't become an echo chamber at this point. City are steering nothing even at this late stage.
