Just read this on ragcafe.

It's difficult for an organisation with limited financial power and a primary interest in the good of football to go up against an organisation with unlimited financial power and a primary self interest in themselves.

HAHAHAHA. " Primary interest in good of football".

An organisation with a primary interest in the good of football? Don’t their owners give syphon off revenue for themselves? Don’t their owners attach huge debts to the club? Don’t their owners hide their accounts away in the Cayman Islands, it would be interesting to see what type of tax avoidance they are up to with their accounting. Don’t their owners not give a fuck about the football side of the business? As long as the Glazers have money coming in they wouldn’t give a fuck if the rags won a trophy ever again.

I know which owners I’d rather have.

I get it ...you’re a 95 percent man. Me too.

You know the only poster that has been 100% from start to finish is @Prestwich_Blue What a guy! Nerves of steel

I admire you all for your arse-kicking fortitude! As a result, I have cautiously allowed my own levels of optimism to creep up to 51%.... ;-)

I think he's referring to UEFA, not Utd

they have the the highest paid keeper in the world, the most expensive defender in the world, a world record transfer in midfield, the most expensive striker in premier league history been and gone, the highest paid player in the premier league being paid to play for someone else. Oh and they’re then highest paid squad in the league. Playing in the Europa league. Limited financial power indeed

I read it that they were talking about UEFA having limited financial power, not United. Either way it’s ridiculous though. It’s not like UEFA are paupers themselves anyway, they have a dozen or so of the world’s wealthiest clubs behind them, and they’ve had to prepare a case for Court, not fund a manned expedition to Mars

I would love to think that you guys are correct regarding Pep knowing etc but the way I viewed his comments where that he genuinely has no idea what will happen on Monday but that he trusts the club have done nothing wrong which is what he has said all along. I’d actually take a reduced 1 year ban- wouldn’t be a disaster by any means.

Negative and positives over the last 24 hours:

1) Questions raised about Cheesy's info (upon which much hope was based),
2) Pep's post-match confidence.

If City have the result but its embargoed, then I don't see how Pep makes those comments, but if we have yet to hear then much of the rumour is false.

FWIW, look at how we're playing since we restarted..

Arguably our best football of the season.

We smashed the dippers, no way did they want their arses handed to them on a plate live on TV..

Scored 5 against Burnley, Newcastle and Brighton..

Got beat against Southampton when it was basically like the Alamo, we could have scored 5 in that game quite easily too..

Losing at Chelsea when, again our heads didn't drop and we were far and away the better team..

Now I'm no psychologist but if we were going to get stiffed then I don't think we'd be playing at the level we're are currently..

It's human nature, The cloud hanging over the club would have a huge, negative effect on everyone and performances would have definitely been affected..

Pep's positive demeanour, coupled with us looking like we're back to something like our Centurions winning team, tells me all I need to know..!
At this stage I'd like to rely on more than psychology.

Pep wouldn’t exude that much confidence on the eve eve of the decision unless he knew exactly what the result was.

I am hoping so but I preferred the 'exonerated line' which is now questionable. I think City have been informed but the decision has been embargoed in which case Pep's manner is telling, but if the club haven't been informed, his comments mean nothing other than confidence in his friends.

Beware the impact of positive bias and wanting to believe. I am trying to look at it objectively.
