The last time wa
Have you ever known the club be as tight lipped as this on anything before.
Moreover, when the last time the press pack as a whole haven't got a sniff this late in the day?

They dare not even imply they have a sniff, being so close to an actual verdict.

Most would usually speculate bullshit for weeks on end but they can't, simply because it would expose them for the blaggers they are.

They would rather say nowt and then come across all informed and opine tomorrow, offering opinion as fact.

City have played a blinder in terms of the flow of information.

Perhaps they also feel it will have more resonance and meaning for both our fans and the wider public that we all get it tomorrow hard and straight.

True but they do currently have most penalties in a season since the PL began and have had the most over the last 3-4 years as well. Pretty shocking considering they haven’t once competed for the title.

Similarly we have had 10 this year and Liverpool have had only 5. Should we come to the same conclusion refs are favouring us?

Describing our reaction as "vitriolic" seems like a bit of an unnecessary, petty dig. In what way was it vitriolic?!
Think their ego's can't handle the fact we haven't joined in in their City is horrible, sport swashing bruhaha. Don't know what they actually expected us to say, but hey.

A one year ban would be disastrous on a number of fronts.

Lots of people will lose their jobs as the club looks to protect the football operation solely.

We lose, and we are done from a reputation point of view and the team won't be in a position to challenge properly for a good while.
Juventus recovered from much much worse.

You all know we are screwed but you all keep up the pretence and egg each other on to make another positive comment.

I'm going to check online for the CAS verdict then I'm listening to solar radio all day and then barring all mainstream media (print/online/tv/radio) and this forum for at least 3 to 4 days.

It's gonna be horrific.

Gulp

I think more reputational damage, but we would probably retain the majority of players but recruitment would be more difficult.

A one year ban sets the club back a generation.
A two year ban sets the club back a generation.
All or nothing tomorrow. If modern day City is something you've grown to like pray for a victory as a defeat, any sort of defeat, would be truly catastrophic.

If you think the press coverage and treatment by the football authorities here or in Europe has been bad thus far, you ain't seen nothing like what we would have to face if a bogus charge of cheating was made to stick.

This is a true existential crisis for the club I've supported my whole life. In the very truest sense of the word.

Snap, The thing is some folk actually think you can walk into a bookies and put a ton on a bet like that, the reality is that Market never existed as PP do hundreds of write ups advertising none excisitant Novelty Markets, they are cùnts for it, and even if it did after the first dozen tenners it would be gone, it's not like betting on transfers odds. I shown thay write up to my pal ( odds compiler for Corals on Golf/Cricket ) he said fuckin Paddy Power again.
Your mate has a fascinating job

It reminds me of Steve Mingles who wrote the Balti Pies books. He was an actuary calculating insurance risks. I thought actuary for big money institutions was a more classy version of what your mate does but on second thoughts perhaps not;)

It would be a disaster on many levels if the decision went against City and I don’t believe KDB would be staying for a second. I think City know hence the stories about contract talks starting

The entire C-level(and more) would have to resign if they weren’t sacked whilst writing their resignation letter. All this about it not effecting the transfers is for the birds as well

I’m optimistic
I honestly can't see how anyone can be anything other than optimistic. I was convinced we were innocent from the moment Soriano spoke out and made it clear we had done nothing wrong. I have read all the Der Spiegel mails and you can't draw any conclusions without seeing the full email trail. If City were guilty Soriano would not have been so bullish and City would have worked behind the scenes for a deal with UEFA (probably accepting a one-year ban)
The alternative to being optimistic is to assume that Soriano and all our senior managers have told a pack of lies and have deliberately misled all our fans, customers, staff, sponsors, investors, players, and worst of all Pep. I don't believe Soriano is either dishonest or stupid. I also believe CAS is a fair and independent body and will do the right thing.

We have this shite every time there’s an event on the horizon with the potential to damage the club, and it’s no less irritating this time around. I refuse to believe any genuine City fan would want us to lose tomorrow in order that they might then be able to say “I told you so” to someone they never have, and likely never will, meet.

Think a few of them are not City supporters just whined up merchants! If anything it’s entertaining how it’s rattled them to come on here and shit stir.

I’ve said this before but fuck it, cmon city, from top to bottom let’s fucking give it every gob shite out there, we deserve to be where we are without question, absolute joke we’re even in this position.
Let’s get this done

Give over!
The Italian clubs that were banned/relegated for misdemeanours haven’t suffered long term.
You could actually argue we'd be in a better position domestically with no Europe... I believe we'd still be able to attract to calibre players, possibly not 1st choice granted.

Lets hope it doesnt come to this

A little bit dramatic.

A generation set back?
20 -30 years?
Really.
Juventus have been back a long time after a much worse scandal in 2006.
