CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Having read the UEFA statement I have to agree with your assessment. Whilst I am obviously delighted about the overturning of the ban I have felt all along that only a complete exoneration would finally kill the rumours and allegations being made by the Press, supporters of other Clubs and other UEFA affiliated organisations like La Liga.

This has the feeling of “case not proven” rather that “not guilty”

From the judgement

“MANCHESTER CITY FC DID NOT DISGUISE EQUITY FUNDING AS SPONSORSHIP CONTRIBUTIONS BUT DID FAIL TO COOPERATE WITH THE UEFA AUTHORITIES”

Sounds like a not fucking guilty to me.
We didn’t cooperate, because we were not guilty and not getting treated fairly

NOT FUCKING GUILTY

Big shift from Sly....I’ve seen us lift the prem 15 times this morning & watch Pep run down the line at Southampton...they’ve just killed it by bringing the Scouse droning Cnut Warnock on post judgment

But why the fine what does that relate to please anyone.
Oh ye of little faith !!!

refusing to co-operate, so because we were sick of all the leaks and being done over by them we refused to co-operate, so we've been done for that as we quite clearly just in politically correct terms told them to swivel during the investigation, but that's a small price to pay when we've been proven not to have actually broken the rules for what they charged us with in the first place.

Uefa statement

Uefa takes note of the decision taken by the Court of Arbitration for Sport to reduce the sanction imposed on Manchester City FC by Uefa’s independent Club Financial Control Body for alleged breaches of the Uefa Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations.

Uefa notes that the Cas panel found that there was insufficient conclusive evidence to uphold all of the CFCB’s conclusions in this specific case and that many of the alleged breaches were time-barred due to the five-year time period foreseen in the Uefa regulations.

Over the last few years, Financial Fair Play has played a significant role in protecting clubs and helping them become financially sustainable and Uefa and ECA [European Club Association] remain committed to its principles.
