CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

maybe it's the United lads i know but nearly all of them, the intelligent ones anyway, all hold their hands up and say "well at least you're invested in and not leached on". true enough.
Yes mate and if they were honest about it, they'd swap our owners for theirs in a heartbeat.

My red mates have nothing but envy and grudging praise for our owner whilst the hatred for the Glazers knows no bounds with them .

Now we have Klopp and Mourinho demonstrating their absolute ignorance or absolute ****erry which is it?

Klopp insinuating CAS decision is a travesty of justice - fucking knob
Mourinho insinuating a fine for anything indicates guilt on all aspects - fucking knob

FUCK THEM ALL
Absolutely agree about Klopp — he’s own admitted ignorance ran riot for his moronic statement.

But, to be fair to Mourinho (and I very rarely am), I think his point was that we shouldn’t have even been fined if we were not guilty of violating FFP (i.e. the “noncooperation” charge is stupid).

As I have said in other posts, I think his comments are directly related to his tax evasion case, for better or worse. He may have been guilty but is trying to convince himself he was not. Or he may have been innocent and thus feels aggrieved for having to cop the fine he did at all (as he sees it as the government using him as a sacrificial lamb).

It’s only the ones in finance that I know that agree on the more debt-focused FFP reforms.

Others I know are firmly rooted in the standard football tribalism and there’s absolutely no point trying to have a reasonable discussion of how their and other dominant clubs have been operating for many decades, and especially the last 20 years.

Old and past it Moanrenio might be getting a letter from our legal department very soon, he obviously hasn't read the CAS statement .
The only part of Joses comments that I thought were wrong was the oft repeated notion that this spells the end of FFP.
He was suggesting that as we have been cleared of the main charge we should not have been fined at all, similarly if we were to have been found guilty then the ban should stand, the latter being a counterpoint to the former.

On the face of it.

Devil is in the detail, the tone, smirks, words emphasized. He totally knows what he is doing, saying and what it means.

Credit to him for that ability, being perfectly honest.
I really do think it was less intentional here than it seems. I think he was having a different discussion than the rest of us, though, probably unintentionally.

I think he is still very bitter about the tax evasion case.

It is *not* the end of FFP. FFP rules still apply. All that has been revealed is that if you are going to prosecute someone as powerful as Sheikh Mansour, you'd better have a fucking good case. Not one with more holes than a fishing net. This is scacely revolutionary. It's the way the law works.

I am sure that UEFA will be watching carefully to ensure we comply with FFP and so will our executives, who are demonstrably not stupid.

It is being widely reported that nobody associated with City knew the decision on Friday. Same at UEFA's side. It was genuinely given to both parties yesterday morning a couple of hours before it was published. That's kinda mental. We really did take a 'shit or bust' approach with this case.

Looking forward to the full judgment and Stefan's analysis of it. Will be interesting to see what it says, but my bet is it'll say more or less that everything in the leaks pre 2014 the panel simply couldn't look at, and the only post 2014 issue was the Etihad sponsorship deal which UEFA were never going to be able to prove anything about.

In the end it really was as simple as a lot of us thought it would be at the start in terms of what the main issues at play were.
I’m still confused how a dipper staff was informed that city was on clear the day dippers got gang banged at etihad .
