CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

That is what I was alluding to with my earlier comment.

Mourinho really should understand he is not the best person to comment on this, but I do think he *thought* he was being fairly objective toward City with his comments, as he was trying to say “if they were guilty they should have been banned, but If they were not guilty, then they should not have been charged with the other violation and fined.”
I've only just listened to this and I have to agree. It's coming from someone who doesn't actually know what the decision was, so he should have kept his mouth shut (unlikely obviously given who he his). He is saying we shouldn't have been fined if we were innocent and should have been banned if guilty (of anything).

He's basically seems to think CAS fudged it. It is puzzling that he commentated at all as surely they all knew what the questions were going to be? Why weren't they prepared?

Oh absolutely he wouldn't have asked anyone else, but it doesn't give a reason to sue him.

I agree but a life ban from the Etihad would be justified IMO.
It absolutely deserved a life ban...

The problem is that we were, are, and will be a singular target for the entire football world for foreseeable future, so we have to be *much better* than every club just to be considered *acceptable* by the standards being applied.

We always have to take the highest road possible, as anything less will lead to a concerted, diabolically magnified attack on the club.

That’s happened every now and then when we have pushed back even slightly on an injustice, and we are now seeing it in full flow after we’ve finally gone on full offensive for a particular grievance.

Whether we now think there is any use in going back to the protectionist mindset based on the global barrage we are now facing for having the temerity to expose a historically corrupt organisation’s unlawful actions we’ll likely soon find out.

But there is a rhyme and reason to the club’s previous perceived madness.

All true, sadly.
Harris works for Associated Press, so it's not even a single title.

Mikell Arteta has surely coming close to being given the sack with a statement like that. His Arsenal paymaster's will certainly not like that sort of statement from one of their own employee's

the Arsenal players won’t give two fucks, nor will most of the objective Arsenal fans, the board and that old pisspot Wenger will be well fucked off...good!

The problem is we are getting wound up by these clowns (me included) I am now taking the Liam Gallagher approach of just smiling and saying pissflaps or exonerated. It’s much less stressful. We did win after all ;)

The FINAL judgement was given to both sides at 8am. A PRELIMNARY statement listing the merits of party arguments was given to both parties some time last week. This could be challenged for inaccuracies.
So we knew last week that the main points of the UEFA case had been blown away if not the exact verdict.
In the way it operates, CAS is more of a tribunal than a court of law.

Do we have a source for this or is it ITK information?

Did anyone on this Forum seriously believe that our win at a proper court of appeal would be the end of it for City?
They were terrified of our owner and his business acumen. He not only evaded being blackballed but he he beat them at their own game both on and off the field.
Come on we are resented, we are not wanted, we are a target for every rule and refereeing decision every var decision with the rule makers within their secret meetings acting as a carbel within UEFA to plot our eventual downfall.

I was hoping this was their final chance to destroy our owners business plan but I fear the continuation of the struggle now makes war inevitable with them in the driving seat of rule making and effectively match fixing so much to overcome.
Maybe our players and manager can overcome this persistent biased conflict, maybe we can carry our siege mentality consistently? I sincerely hope so because City are my team and I have grown to respect everything our owners do and now fully understand why the g## were frightened of his original investment.

Rant over, CTID.

Biggest irony for me is that “Fair” Financial Play smiles on owners who leach their club whist ostracising one who puts money into the game.
That’s the whole basis for the American sport league closed economic systems, mate. It’s inside the irony of capitalist owners, communist economic system to which I was referring: it’s actually built to prevent all non-approved “competition” (which aren’t really competitors once in the league) and syphon off most of the money to the owners (even when factoring in the astronomical salaries some of the players garner, through real talent, life-long effort, and perseverance).

Again, it’s why the American owners, and those that have studied that system (the directors/owners of the other cartel clubs) so desperately want to install a similar scheme in Europe. They want football to follow that same path (American sport was once not that different to where things were before FFP in football, just at a smaller scale before the major leagues formed).

The one major difference, though, is they want to do it without the fairly equitable revenue sharing. That is the “improvement” on the scheme the likes of the Glazers, FSG, and Kroenke desperately want.

That would give them an even bigger share of the spoils and greater assurance of dominance for years to come.

,normally just tick agree but fuck em

Let's be clear. Like Tebas, these are words of a declaration of "war" (no not literally obviously before someone makes some silly comment). The club will not do anything but the inference here is as clear as Tebas and it is unacceptable. Simple as that.
Not a surprise given what is already in the public domain about Liverpool. They hacked our computer systems, led a campaign with other clubs to have us banned from Europe and possibly docked points, they relentlessly spread poison in the media about us.
When you add to that their involvement in some of the leaks from the UEFA investigation it paints a picture of a very toxic organisation.
I wonder what else they have been doing which we don't know about.

Add Mourinho to the list of people who shouldn't be commenting if they know fuck all about the case.
Disgrace is a good word for Peg to use. He knows all about disgrace after being given a suspended jail sentence for tax evasion.

https://news.sky.com/story/jose-mourinho-given-suspended-prison-sentence-for-tax-fraud-11628779

This was a story which got virtually no traction in the British press.
I bet no one asked him about it today even though it is an obvious question to ask of a convicted criminal who has been found guilty of financial fraud himself and yet chooses to lecture our club about FFP.

The presser is no where near as bad as the comments written.

Glad City won as they’d have been impossible to stop without the extra games in CL.

Bad day for football but hopes FFP stays.

As for the case yesterday I don’t know enough about it.

Is how I took what he said.
I think Klopp knew exactly what he was doing. He knows what his club's owners have been doing as well.
