can someone remind me how long the likes of Shearer, Batty , le Saux, Sherwood, Ripley etc stayed with Blackburn ?? Not a money grabbing englishman in sight !!!
 
In all my 54 years of watching our city, I always thought I would never ever see a better player pull on a blue shirt than Colin Bell. Over the past decade, one player has for me stood, head and shoulders above the rest. I know we have our legends especially Sergio, Vinny, Zaba, Summerbee, Lee, Kinkladze, etc, but I have been truly able to witness In my opinion,THE greatest footballers Of all time to play in our blue. The one and only David Silva.

One of the most humblest, modest and quietest people on earth, on and off a football pitch. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting him with my daughter and sister three years back at the CFA, we all spoke in Spanish to him, he was a true gentleman, had time for a photo and chat without rushing off, and was genuinely interested in conversing.

A man who values family above all else, hence the outpouring of love and best wishes during the challenging time he had prior to his sons birth and following it. He is and always will be family to all us blues, a very special person, with an ability to quite simply perform magic before our eyes, and is it me or does he look younger now than when he first signed for us?

Muchos Gracias David Silva, el numero uno, el mago, we will miss you and I for one will most definitely have tears in my eyes the final time I see him play in a competitive game, I hope to god it’s the CL final, a final befitting for such a giant, as captain, lifting up, old big ears!

I'm really upset that one of the greatest players to pull on our shirt will go out this season.

Chance to pull off a cup treble, adding to everything else he's brought us, and we won't be there in person to see it.

Gonna be shredded when he leaves, slightly more than vinny if I’m honest. Not only has he been probably the greatest player, I’ve ever had the privilege to see in a City shirt. He’s such a humble, down to earth guy too. Another who really got us, and genuinely could see the love he had for the club. He’s not only a City legend, but genuinely one of the greatest to ever grace the premier league. Hang on! Think someone has kicked up some dust in here.

Even Carragher didn’t have a bad word to say about him.
 
Watch any montage and you quickly realise that he should have far, far more assists. He put so many on plates for people and they made a right mess of them.

At his best for us with Toure and Nasri. A Holy Trinity of midfielders.
