Another, probably unlikely scenario. CAS published the award on the 13th July, stating that the final award with reasons would be published in a few days. How many days can "a few" extend to? By their regulations they have up to 3 months to publish and can extend this longer. Perhaps they didn't expect such a degree of negative reaction from the media, Tebas and other prominent cartel figures. We all appear to think that CAS should publish early to quell these accusations and protect it's reputation. There was some initial talk that UEFA should appeal to the Swiss courts and, under CAS regulations, that should happen within 30 days. No doubt any appeal by UEFA would be futile and put themselves in an even worse position than they are in now but it would really drag this out, which would be bad for us but also, to a great extent, CAS. Maybe, just maybe, CAS are concerned that UEFA, perhaps in their desperation but more likely under pressure from the usual suspects (who would also benefit from UEFA being even further weakened as well as prolonging the attacks on City), want to wait the full 30 days before publishing the full report. This would mean that UEFA could only appeal without knowing the reasoning of the award in similar way to why they didn't released the full judgement and reasoning of the AC judgement because they knew we were going to appeal to CAS.
We're still waiting on the AC "reasoning"!
