Silky, graceful, balletic. A dream of a player. Quite often played the pass before the pass and was frequently the difference between City winning having struggled with the bus. He is the envy of all the non-City fans I know, the ones that understand the game anyway.

I've dreaded this day for years. What a fucking player David Silva is. That is how you play football.

A personal experience for myself was a trip to Barcelona in 2012 when I got to Reus Airport convinced I'd missed my flight home to Manchester. The relief of getting to the gate just in time and David was at the back of the queue with his mate. A very special moment for me shaking his hand and telling him how much I loved him haha.

Gutted we couldn't be there with him today. He will forever be my favourite player.
