Fixtures released on 21st August.

I bet we are away on the opening weekend and on Boxing Day!

dosnt look like they are expecting crowds anytime soon with the League cup semis being over 1 game
Purely due to space in the calendar. Any postponements (weather or Covid) and I genuinely think there will be teams that have to play 4 games a week.

Unless there are contingency plans (none announced), Spurs have to play Carabao Cup games on a Tuesday/Wednesday, then Europa League qualifier on Thursday in for Round 3 and 4. If we win CL, then we'll have to do the same with Super Cup for one round (United if they win EL have same issue).

Fuck knows how we'll catch up if we win the CL and go to World Club Cup, bearing in mind we would already have games to catch up from the beginning of the season. We could have 3/4 games in hand before Christmas.

20/21 is going to be insane. Our players (and staff) not having a proper break means we're at a huge disadvantage to Liverpool before next season starts.

No point following it.

BT/Sky will be swapping dates and times willy nilly as fans aren't allowed in.

Wouldn't be surprised if the first round of fixtures are all on Tele. 2 on Friday, 4 on sat, 3 sun and one on Monday.

ALL games would be on TV next season ... 10 games every gameweek ... till the fans are allowed back in!
That was the agreement with Sky/BT/Amazon when "project restart" happened ... and the reason they quietly have gone away with it without demanding any refunds or making a lot of noise on disruptions due to covid. They know they're getting them all, a lot more games next season. So yes, all games would be different times and on different channels.

Not so sure about that.

Wasnt the deal was the show remaining matches but go back to normal next season? Otherwise SKY & BT were demanding multi million pound refunds

With no fans for the foreseeable, the TV companies will reschedule the entire fixture list to suit them.

It’s a complete farce that spurs will basically have to sacrifice either the Europa league or the carabao cup due to fixture congestion.

If we,or any other team in Europe (bar furlough fc who only participate in one competition a year anyway) progress in the cups too it’s going to be impossible for them to finish the season in time without an absurd pile up.

Can you imagine if we get to the knockout rounds in Europe and the semi’s in both cups, we could have almost half a dozen games in hand to play within about 2 weeks with potentially the title at stake. They’re clearly just hoping it doesn’t happen. If there’s a covid spike that means football has to be put on hold for even a few weeks or there’s some bad weather that postpones games the entire league is screwed.

Yes it gives the advantage to the clubs with bigger squads and strength in depth so rejected by practically everyone but us and Chelsea i guess.
Theres me thinking that all prem clubs were only allowed 25...……...
Each Premier League club have submitted a squad list for the 2019/20 season.
Each squad contains no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the "Home Grown Player" (HGP) criteria.
The rest of the squad, up to a total of 25 players, must be "Home Grown".
Each club squad list is below as well as an additional list of each club's registered Under-21 players who are eligible over and above the squad limit of 25 players.

Effectively television could manipulate the fixtures to help the redshirts gain advantage over us?

Same sized squads for everyone.

Clubs complain about too much football, fatigue injuries to players and the necessity for a winter break but turn down a solution and the chance for ‘smaller’ clubs to field stronger teams in winnable cup competitions.

City have had no help over the years from any of the authorities so I hope we put our own interests first when it comes to international call ups, invitational events etc.
