Champions League Quarter Final Games 12-15th August

Obviously when it all got leaked they found out, but the fact Barca tried to keep it quiet is pretty incredible.

It was almost 50% of the wage bill in 17/18.
That is horrendous it really is. I don’t imagine the likes of Suarez, Greizman, busquets, pique are on anything other than top money so that says something about what Messi earns. I know people talk about Messi coming here in a joking kind of way, but Christ that would be a huge gamble to take if anyone ever did.

Flick, Muller and the Bayern team definitely try to get some kind of World Cup feeling in terms of big game mentality. They are flying high on confidence. Crazy conversion rate, although Barca were incredibly helpful.

Bayern have won all of their last 28 matches across all competitions since last December except a draw vs Leipzig. Riding their momentum.
An exceptionally long run of wins like Bayern's means a loss is overdue.I hope we get the chance to test this theory on Wednesday.

Bit of a shame how the tournament plays out with the fixtures tbh, a City Bayern final would probably be the fairest reflection of the best teams atm.

If you lot beat Lyon I’d give you the edge against Bayern. Difficult to call though, you both have players that could win it from out of nowhere with some moment of quality.

Barcelona are eternal fucked. They can't even sell Messi

He's on 100M wages and clubs would go bankrupt from his wages . And there is Corona

Have fun

That may have been published but it is clearly made up, a bit like a Sunday Sport exclusive. His team mates don't know his wages but a dodgy paper does and the accounts don't reflect that much on one player considering what the rest are supposed to get.

Makes a good story though.

It's from the football leaks documents, as I said in my comment. It was published in a very reputable French news site in full with the a photocopy of the page with all the signatures on it.

yep
but barca will buy up all the young players and build something ? they have this knack of building teams
only this time it has to be without messi ? barca will always have their style and they breed young players with the ball at their feet so maybe a year or so then they will be back

Possibly. A lot of their young talents have left their youth team. However, it’s possible that they may focus on La Masia depending on what happens at the top.

I just saw that Barcelona spent £363M on three players...Dembele, Griezman and Coutinho...WOW!!.

which looks like poch will have the pleasure of nurturing.... right place right time for him

Really is. Problem will be sorting out the players that have overstayed. We’ll wait and see. It just feels like a lack of cohesion everywhere. If Messi retires, how long will it take for them to compete again?

Who knows? Maybe that situation will give someone the drive and impetus to rise amongst the chaos.

City v Bayern potential semifinal. Wow. Battle of two of the genuine top 3 teams in Europe.

Just realized they've brought in Pjanic too and sold Arthur.

Pjanic is a good player, but they could really use some young guys to start building around and use their money better, they've got a few already.
