Seasoncard Amnesty

One other option could be to allow a seasoncard holder to allocate an additional friend/family member to use the card. This could be activated online or by phone prior to the game. Full contact details would obviously need to be provided. Might help as well in the long run retaining fans who can't make all the games.

just coz the blokes given you some information on cas over the last few months is irrelevant to the way CM go about there business ..
Question
Me and my mate both live in the South, we have shared a Seasoncard for a decade. It's in my name, so is he now screwed, cos it's my name on the ticket, and ambition screwed cos I can't afford 19+ trips to Manchester with days off work etc ??
As PB keeps saying, nobody yet knows the answer to your question. You'll have to wait until the club makes some kind of announcement.

ITS. NOT. THEIR. RULES.
How many times does this need to be said FFS? They're not doing this for some nefarious purpose, like putting people off going so they can expand the hsopitality areas, or to make life as difficult as possible for people. They're doing it because that's the requirement that has been agreed between the Goovernment, PL, the Sports Ground Safety Authority and anyone else involved.

Yes - they may lose out because of these rules but we're living in extraordinary times and it's going to be the same for every club. The new "matchday experience" will see the need to wear a mask (unless you're exempt), not being allowed to sing, you may have to enter and leave the ground at a pre-arranged time, you may not be able to leave your seat, you may have to prove your identity, you may have to arrive at the stadium hours before kickoff but may not be able to get a beer or food. Probably no going to away games for this season at least.

I suspect people may be keen to get back in but, once they've experienced a game under these circumstances, may well decide to jack it off for the foreseeable future. And we know that once you get out of the habit of going to games for a few weeks or more, it can be hard to get back into it. This could be a catalyst for a complete change in the way we watch games, with maybe all games shown in the UK at last. Some clubs may not even survive.

But FFS please stop blaming the club for situations outside its control, where it has no choice but to apply a set of rules imposed on it. I'm working with the club, along with my CM colleagues and I can assure you the club are busting a gut to try to get fans back in the ground safely and securely.
Calm down crackpot.
Once you have, tell me where I have blamed the club.
I said "City will lose out by putting these rules in place."

I've held a season ticket/card for 46years and can choose to go to any game home or away and will do. So ID's don't bother me but a year or two back some on City Matters were saying I shouldn't and allocation be done through a ballot. Hope they don't mess it up.

How did you decide who got to go to the qpr game?

@Prestwich_Blue
Just a thought the people that City are aiming next seasons tickets at are used to paying around £30 a game with our sc.
If City suddenly decided to go down the path of charging match day prices £60 Carnt see there being a big uptake for the new experience, we would be out at them prices :+(

Could it be that I'd is being used for cards not getting used in a lot of games.
Not too fussed if this comes in.

Load of fans share season tickets and the amnesty does not help that - they should allow you to nominate another person to go in your place if can't make it and then contact them both on track and trace.

it will be the poorer fans who miss out who are struggling anyway due to COVID-19. People with lower income jobs were fr more likely to be furloughed or made redundant.

It will be interesting to see what other clubs do. At it stands the measures with ruin live football for some families, making the rules with middle class assumptions and a distrust of the fan base.

regrading the post PB made about getting a photo ID quite easily, i looked up the citizen card that was reference, and it seems unless you already have photo ID they need a doctor etc to validate who you are... and because of Covid you can't get to see a doctor or get anyone to do that. So how would someone get one?

This isn't me moaning, this is me asking genuine questions to anyone who knows how to get official photo Id within the next month, when i can't drive so no license, and to get a passport would mean travelling to liverpool as it would be my first one and i looked it up and you have to.. Not even sure you can during Covid. So help guys, what can i get. How can i prove i'm me with a photo ID... :(

Not sure now (under COVID-19) but if you have't had a passport you need an interview, but these were in your local big town, they ask you questions to verify it is you. You don't need a GP to sign them it is any 'profession', even low grade civil servants and local gov officers can do it.

It is cheaper just to get a provisional license, but they are almost impossible to get without a passport.

The assumption that it is easy to get photo ID is incorrect, if you don't have a passport as a child you need to go through a few hoops now.

I haven't had any e-mails from City re the two seasoncards I buy - one for me and one used by three of my sons. Anyone know how many seasoncard holders will be allowed in for home games ? I'm in the vulnerable category, so won't be going to games any time soon.

Thanks for the reply, yes it does get my back up a bit that everyone says how easy it is to get photo ID - it is IF you already have one!!! When i looked into a passport for ID a couple of years ago it said Liverpool was where i'd have to go, so i just left it, the stress of an interview to prove who i am when i have no photo Id to prove who i am put me right off! :(
Just not sure who i'd get to be a referee for any kind of card at the mo though, and i have checked again to do with the gov card and this website lists them (the gov citizen card) as being suspended becasue of Covid, so they're not issuing any.

tbh i don't see us (ie me and my mum) going to matches next season (though we want to keep our seats and renew), but if i need photo Id to be even able to renew of some kind, or in case i feel up to trying to go if by spring things pick up, i'm stressing about finding photo ID in time to do whatever city ask in the next month or so.

Well this is an inconvenience, I was due to move abroad and was gonna let my mate use my ST as he's on the waiting list. I know it's not within the t&c's but hundreds of tickets are swapped every week. Oh well. I'll switch to citizens card instead and rejoin the ST waiting list if I ever come back.

You can get a nationally accredited one for £15. People just want something to moan about. If the club put pictures on seasoncards, someone would moan about human rights.
I'm with you on this PB, I won't be attending any match unless a vaccine is found.

Why on earth would anyone want to put theres & others in the family or in the ground at risk just to see a few goals oh & 10 pints of course..

How the goverment are even contemplate this is a fucking joke

Yes we all want to be supporting our great team but how many have to fall ill or die just for a game of football???

If you are going then good luck but at least follow the rules & stay safe or stay home..

I guess all the free riders who go to away games will also be stopped

If your names not down your not getting in???

You need at least 150 reponses to have a chance at claiming any sort of robust consultation, they could have done this easily by email to look for "unintended consequences" like a proper consultation would.
So a meeting doesn’t count?
