I'm told it was done but won't be announced until after the CL has ended. So we should know if that's true next week.

I don't mean to be too direct here, but why is it that you have information that the Aouar deal is done, but Sam Lee, the journalist who writes for The Athletic doesn't?

Just curious, that's all.

While Ake Torres and Aouer May be okay signings I’m not sure they will make a huge leap in the teams performances. The Lyon lad seems a bit pointless really. Let’s hope we manage to grab an eye opener at some point.

Think this is wrong to be honest

Ake is better than people give him credit for...he has pace to burn and is a leader....he is a huge improvement on Ota and as good as Stones at least - the one things he lacks is a bit of height but he has a decent leap on him as well

Aouar for me is a big improvement on Gundogan for starters and takes D.Silvas spot int he squad - of course he wont be as good as D.Silva but few/if any are.

Torres - a young kid so a bit of an unknown but that means he can be easily coached - Sane was a top class player BUT he wouldnt do everything that Pep requires so there is room for improvement - he adds depth to our squad and could turn out to be a real diamond

With those 3 plus Koulibaly and maybe a kid or two here and there (and irresspective of whether the Messi stuff comes to fruition or not) that would be a pretty damn good summer.

I think people are really underestimating the impact Aké will have.

Pep said outright that the reason we played the way we did against Lyon was because we've got no pace in the centrebacks, and that makes us vulnerable to balls into the channel.

That's what's undone us in many games this season, and Aké fixes it. I think if we had him in the squad, he'd have started Saturday's game vs. Lyon and we'd have played 433.

Don’t think people are underestimating him just a realisation that he’s not going to play much whilst Laporte is fit and on form unless prp plays with a back 3 and whilst that may suit us defensively it doesn’t fit our attacking players.

That's exactly the underestimation I'm talking about.

Not really mate. It's the same conversation/negotiation in essence.

It's not as formal as that.

We obviously always get the agent and player onside first with personal terms.
Agent always does the do you fancy my client & if you do it will cost you all this

Buying club will either say yes or no

Once
hence why I don’t post much on this just genuine information I pass on ,keyboard warriors like yourself criticising , got all the transfers correct last year and so far correct this season ..

It’s not worth the grief and snide comments of blues , hence why I rarely post , but when I do it’s genuine information. You’ll see next week when pep extends his contract and koulibaly joins !

1 word CHANCER!!!!

That’s not underestimating his ability though, unless you’re suggesting he’s better than Laporte who Pep calls the best left sided cb in the world? pep won’t play with two left footers at the back unless it’s part of a 3 so it’s one or the other.

Pep will play Ake over Laporte in some games, when we need pace in the backline.

Laporte hasn't been close to the best left sided CB in England since his injury, and if he stays at his post lockdown level, Ake will challenge him for the position.

Even if he gets his form back, next seasons schedule is far too congested, no one will be playing everg game like in the last.
