Dianne Abbott

I didn't comment on the requirement to wear one just the inability to wear it correctly.

She's probably pulled it down because she's wearing glasses and they steam up. I pull mine down as soon as I get outside cos I can't see otherwise. Keep giving Diane Abbott a kicking though if it helps distract from the shambles of a govenrment we currently have.

Who's kicking, its a picture she has posted herself on her official twitter feed not an opportunist piss take. If your glasses steam you are not wearing the covering correctly as not sealed around the nose.

Nothing can distract from that. It does however remind us what an absolutely frightening alternative there was and still is. Very depressing indeed. An absolute tragedy and shameful state of affairs. This country is in very serious trouble indeed what lies ahead does not bear thinking about.

What's frightening about it? Jesus Christ, she's not even a major player in the shadow cabinet. It's a photo of an MP stood outside. She's not obligated to be wearing a mask or be wearing it any specific way. What's the problem? People pull them down when they get outside so they can get a bit of fresh air. It's hardly in the same league of ineptitude as bragging about shaking hands with covid patients and then nearly dying of it two weeks later is it.

Because most of the Labour party are just as bad in their own unique ways, and their current political views are nowhere near in touch with the vast majority of the population. This being proved by not only the general election last year but the recent opinion polls who still have to the Tories out of sight despite being as bad as you say...infact no you are wrong because they are even worse than you say. That is frightening because it means this country is fucked.

Yes, the country is totally fucked for as long as people like you keep pretending that the current government is a better alternative to what labour had to offer.

Even if people thought the state of the labour party was shit in the run up to the last election, it was a massive mistake to think voting for this shower was a lesser of two evils.

This week alone we've seen the absolute cock up they've made of A levels results and the usual cronyism of Dido Harding's latest appointment but somehow, Diane Abbott pulling her mask down outside is the real evil at work here.

She wouldn't be an MP anywhere North of the M25, Fact.

The Labour party under Corbyn wasn't just shit pal they were dangerous, all Labour had to do was to get rid of him and pick let's just say any politician who was slightly left and at least offer an alternative to just saying Brexit is a mistake. I voted Labour so that the country could see just how bad the Labour party were for a term instead of sniping from the sidelines but the electorate voted overwhelmingly against the bad grandpa.

I certainly did not vote for them. That said if I had been forced to choose between them and Labour (the only way I would vote for either currently) I would have gone for the Tories. Even had I known Covid was coming because I believe that had Labour won that election as inconceivable as it may seem things would have been far far worse.

So I would more likely say that until there is a viable opposition that is in tune with real people and not just die hard left wing voters then we will remain fucked. I personally think there is now too much divide in this country to sort it out un til things have gone much further down the dangerous path we are following.

Well we finally have an opposition now that seems economically slightly to the right of rishi sunak and is happy to throw the unions under the bus at the drop of a hat so hopefully The Sun will be able to get behind that come the next election.

Good to know you're thinking about me mate.
As for the photo she's outside the shop so I believe there is no need to wear a mask at all.
PS So what about Vacant?
I just saw your posts at the top of the page and smiled about the weak attempt at whataboutism.

I couldn’t care less about the photo but it was a staged photo op and she couldn’t even wear the mask properly.

Thank God she’s now in political obscurity.

Evidence? As it did not happen that is a daft question.

It is however my opinion and one that is shared by many others, hence it did not happen. People in their millions who would not normally vote Tory did so because of people like Dianne Abbott and Jeremy Corbyn. Perhaps that may suffice as evidence?

Ok - using the same rationale I say a Labour victory would have made the whole world a better place.

See how stupid that looks without the qualification "in my opinion"

I think it will take much more than the Sun to swing the population to Labour.

That next election could come at anytime, particularly when a government has just made an absolute balls of a huge tragedy. They would normally at that point get kicked out. Not this time such is the damage the far left have done to Labour.

If an election were to be held in 12 months time as well it could be then the Tories would get back in, even though following Covid and indeed Brexit that will almost certainly be a shambles under this lot will have the place in an almighty state.

I have voted Labour, I have never voted Tory and cannot see circumstances where I would. Quite frankly its people like me that Labour have to convince, and I for one am currently even less likely to vote Labour than I am Tory.

They were the two worst governmental options in living memory, the crucial difference being that a hung parliament or labour victory would have stopped Brexit and we wouldn’t have that enormous economic crash looming on the horizon and be the laughing stock of the world for our idiocy.

One painful task in the next year will be correcting those who cite "brexit" being the cause for redundancies when it has been the COVID lockdown and removal of furlough which has seen off businesses.

I'm a remainer and voted LD at the last election but fuckinghell, the kamikaze suicidal shut down of businesses thanks to Covid had a say in economic turmoil.

I think there will be a clear demarcation between the 2 events - with furlough ending in October the COVID related redundancies will follow quickly and be more or less done for Christmas. Many businesses are making plans and consulting with workers and unions now for this eventuality.

Then come the new year we have Brexit. That impact will depend on what deals if any we have in place as of 1/1/21. Vehicle assembly plants with their reliance on just in time manufacturing will be the first biggies in peril with MINI and NISSAN already saying its unlikely their UK plants could function efficiently in the event of a No Deal Brexit and I am sure if they close they will make clear what the cause is.
