Koulibaly was top of my wish-list when the season ended, but in recent seasons City have not been able to and the big fish. It surprises me that a number of big clubs have not been linked to him. How can Chelsea for example be linked with deals for £70m plus for players in positions they don't need to strengthen but not move on Koulibaly? Remember how good Koulibaly was when Napoli played Liverpool? Not an ideal age but not over the hill either.

Perhaps the rest of football knows that City are in for him and determined to land him so no one else is bothering?

Maguire has improved United's defence a lot. He was very expensive but he's one of the better deals they have done over recent seasons.

i think for £80 million he has been terrible tbh . Started well but finished very poorly .

thinking/hoping that clubs have enquired about Koulibaly and they have been rebuffed telling them he only wants city.

Look at the impact on their Premier League goals conceded. That's the bottom-line.

They over-paid, and arguably he's not a top quality player in the bracket of Kompany and Van Dijk but he signifcantly strenthened their defensive game. Our interest in the player last Summer seemed to be pretty genuine.
