@tolmie's hairdoo what specifically makes you think we have got him? Heard anything recent/new?
I'd hope the men in charge wouldn't be so blinded by the attraction of Messi that they would give either of them two away, I'd probably even side of not wanting him if we had to do that.Call me spoiled, but if Jesus or Bernardo get sent off to Barcelona and sour this transfer I'm going to be so pissed off even if it's only until Messi plays his first game in a month's time.
I don't want it to be bittersweet, or involve a compromise, I just want Messi added to the existing squad without compromising the players who're part of our long-term future.
Mahrez, Garcia, even Gundogan or Cancelo...fine. Not ideal but fine.
But not Bernardo...not our only striker under 32 years old.
TyC, the people who broke the story yesterday are saying the City announcement is imminent.
I can't believe I am writing this, but I think we have got him.
There might even be a player/financial gesture on our part but if Messi sticks to his guns...

Yeah that translation made me laughThe English club appears as the main alternative for the Flea, according to information in England and Catalonia. The announcement could be imminent.
Imminent, could be a while then...The English club appears as the main alternative for the Flea, according to information in England and Catalonia. The announcement could be imminent.

He's sticking to his guns, it's been everywhere on social media from that Messi isn't changing his mind, he's out of Barcelona, so it seems it's a matter of time before we have him.I can't believe I am writing this, but I think we have got him.

Sookie time...fuck it.
Pep has worked wonders before but I'm not sure even he could turn the bassist from Red Hot Chili Peppers into a decent left back. The English club appears as the main alternative for the Flea, according to information in England and Catalonia. The announcement could be imminent.

If he sticks to his guns....he come for free?I can't believe I am writing this, but I think we have got him.

Do you think there's any truth to the reports from Spain about Gabriel and Garcia plus cash, or is it just Barca damage control?I'm not doing Sookie, much as I'd like to on a variety of fronts!!
I'm especially conscious of misleading the board or being made accountable for Messi's own decision-making process (he's retired from the national twice)
As I say, this all came to me originally via a decent contact in Abu Dhabi about a week or so ago and I know some CFG people have been getting very giddy ever since.
City just aren't the aggressor in this, hence why I had a YouTube meltdown on Saturday night, it was the first time somebody had said Messi's people had made the approach, rather than us, would be handing in a formal transfer request.
They have been bob on so far and seemingly City can have this all boxed-off.
My only concern remains the story becoming bigger than Messi and him being talked down like Kaka was at Milan.
It could be a deal breaker tbhI think the kid on the left is asking him if it's a barm or a muffin. We deserve to know where he stands on that issue before this is finally done.
Are you Sookie confident?I can't believe I am writing this, but I think we have got him.
