The ‘chosen’ premier league CEO will be wearing a paler shade of red in the office I reckon, if Messi comesI’m not sure, he’ll be the jewel in the crown of the PL and will make our league even more commercially attractive than it is now.
Also, there will be so much scrutiny on him that the refs will have to protect him.
I hope so anyway.
Bernardo Corradi likes this. We've gone from being a club whereby we couldn't score at home for eight months to one where the best player of all time is forcing a move to us.
Amazing
I think the fact they are in a mess and didn't win anything doesn't help. They need reinventing and face losing the a lot of their current generation in one go - Messi, Suarez, Pique, Vidal, even Griezeman may go.
That said, although it hurts horribly to watch them go, I will always be immensely proud of the way our club let David, Vinny and Pablo go, Sergio too in his time. True legends, could have done with keeping them another year arguably, but their commitment to the cause, the fact they literally changed our club into winners on the pitch, and have shown a huge love of the club and it's fans, means we let them walk away with all of our love and best wishes for the future, with yet more opportunity open to them once they leave us. And if they come back in some future role, then it will benefit us all.
If Messi believes he isn’t a Barcelona player and they fine him for not showing up that then can be challenged by Messi’s lawyers.
I think he was more of the DIikov era as a fan, very similar players, small and tenacious and somewhat underrated. If,as is looking increasingly more likely,Messi follows his boyhood hero Dennis Tueart to play for Man City,I would think we must also be getting Pep for an extended period to match Messi’s contract length which I would think would be 3 years
Not been a good couple of months for the hateful 8 has it ?
At least Newcastle, who also signed the letter have been taken over by wealthy investors and can sign the next Messi :)If,as is looking increasingly more likely,Messi follows his boyhood hero Dennis Tueart to play for Man City,I would think we must also be getting Pep for an extended period to match Messi’s contract length which I would think would be 3 years

Had a bit of hanky spanky with the Mrs last night
She said it was the best ever
I didn't have the heart to tell her I was dreaming of messi throughout
At least I know how to go about it if he signs
Yeah I mean, they claim to be, so might as well just put it on themMethinks someone needs a geography lesson
The Messi of 33 simply can't score the goals that he scored as a 19 year old when he just raced past players. You have to acknowledge that. He is still a fantastic player though. See his goals and assists record from last season. He was once super human, but now he is an outstanding footballer who will add a great deal to City's attacking play.
Never heard Karen called that beforeAt least you weren't dreaming of Miss BumBum.
