There are certainly reasons to question is it really a great idea to bring in a 33 year old on excessive wages into a league he's never played in etc.

But this is football, its about entertainment, and I for one am happy to leave all those logistics and worries to those in charge and just enjoy even the possibility of the greatest ever playing for our team - and (I'll only believe it when I see it) if he does end up in our shirt then phwoar, what a fun season ahead we have to look forward to.

The pain & piss boiling it's causing, alone, make any logical discussions redundant, I've realised.

They have no chance and they know it.

What is clear though is had both been interested or looking like signing him, the coverage of this story would have been wal to wall and completely different to what it currently is.

I've just seen a back page from the Star saying clubs and UEFA demand to see the numbers behind any deal lol.
They will be on the phone to their man at the top of the prem and pigmol

DO SOMETHING !!!!!!!!

And they will, just wait and see,if we think we got stitched whilst the red shites got help last season then we havent seen anything yet

I'm curious at how many pages this thread will get to (starting from the July 2020 dates). Right now you're at 1009. For the Ronaldo transfer, we reached more than 1500 pages in one week and another 400+ at the news of his signing (thread was closed one week after).
This one seems to take longer so I'll put my money on 2000+ (starting from July).
Welcome to a bluemoon transfer window,it is batty at the best of times !

Absolutely bang on. The press would be camped outside the swamp or klanfield. There would be article after article waxing lyrical about history. We'll get shit if he does sign (I'm still dubious) and his wages will be ballooned.

There is little point trying to find Messi updates in the British media. They seem to be pretending it's not happening. Forced to follow it on Twitter, and Spanish press using google translate

Should Messi sign, will the transfer change once and for all City's relationship with the media, or will it make the vendetta even worse?

He’s not signed yet.. but if he does that will be a interesting headache for pep to have I guess, not only on pens but on set plays also.
Kev is captain ,he hasnt missed yet, pens are his to take,i want him to captain messi the same as anyone else, the last thing we need is the players to be too much in awe of him
