You obviously know I think he's a ****. I never used that word before someone on here (a Trumpette) criticised people calling him a ****. So I now feel comfortable calling him a ****.

But you must also realise that him and his base take pleasure out of goading the opposition. I personally don't think there's any path to victory by responding to every piece of his nonsense, he's much more practiced at it, and won't listen to, or perhaps understand, reason.

When he visits Kenosha on Tuesday I expect him doing a speech with the racist police chief, calling him a good man whilst defending the police and the **** that shot protestors. Throw in a line about the dem controlled media whilst he’s at it.

That is absolutely a fair point, and in fact I think Biden/Harris are specifically using that strategy.

If Trump fails to steal the election, civil war is nailed on. At the very least there will be huge civil unrest when his base get their guns out and head for the nearest big city.

On the other hand a Trump win that is clearly the result of fraud will cause mass rioting and give the rednecks the excuse they need to start shooting.

Can't see a way out of it other Trump dying before the election, preferably of Covid to minimise all the conspiracy shite.

Biden winning by a huge margin might go some way to taking the sting out of any backlash.

At this stage in the game that doesn't look likely that's going to happen though.

Always felt like it was a possibility, of course, esp after 2016, but the more recent use of authoritarian and dictatorial edicts to heighten voter suppression (esp in “certain areas”) is beyond the pale.

The Senates unwillingness to remove him has created a monster who feels ever more emboldened, unconstrained by norms (and even laws) and impervious to threats.

The UK is travelling down the same road and just like the US most of the population are asleep.
