We dont have any pre-season plans do we ? Not heard of any games planned,the boys will just get on and get fit ,nothing to do with the playing staff who we are buying

Could this be the saga to end all sagas, the Kaka, Tevez, Lescott, Ronaldhino sagas. Just a couple of things that strike me, could be completely barking up the wrong tree and have to say this thread has been a nightmare to keep up with.

If the contract had a clause in it which tied Messi to the club in anyway, why did Barca dismiss the solicitors? Personally I can only surmise that Messi checked with them in the first place, found out he was free to move. Just guesswork just feel Barca trying to save face.
 
What if he walks away for free and we sign him and then barca go to court and win and we get hit with a 600m quid bill?

We need it cast iron signed off before signing him one way or another

The contract is highly unlikely to have a specific date - when the contract was drafted - they wouldn’t know the intended end date of the 2019/20 season - so they would almost certainly refer to a term like ‘the end of the competitive season‘.
