An image of Messi sat at a piano... Messi stands up and pushes the piano away and it falls off the stage and smashes... explodes etc... and Messi in full City kit says... “I’ve come to Manchester to play football”....
Starts off with Kun signing a contract extension wearing his number 10 shirt, he then rips it off and hands it to Messi. He then updates is instagram with Aguero16.

So to sum up...
Messi wants to leave and believes he's allowed to on a free.
Barca don't want him to leave, and don't believe the clause in the contract is still valid. If he does leave they believe it would be for 700 mil euro.
La Liga agree the clause for Messi leaving free has lapsed.
City seem interested - but we don't know if that's if Messi is free or for a fee.
Messi's Dad (agent) is coming to Spain to try and sort it out.
Messi has effectively gone on strike, not turning up to Barca appointments and training, his excuse, he believes he's no longer a Barca player.
...anything missing?

So questions...
Are City only interested because Messi has believes he's a free agent and advised us so?
If City are willing to pay a fee, how much? 700 mil euro is ridiculous - we would be mad to even consider it based on the amount, his age and the remaining contract length. And the accountants would have great fun getting that past FFP.
Could a deal be done? Barca are very unlikely to want to, but may be forced to if Messi is done with them.
If it goes to court in Spain it's likely to drag on for months, we'd miss the transfer window if that's applicable.
Don't we have more pressing transfer business to deal with?

This isn't going to happen very soon is it, or at all.

I see it this way:
Messi and his camp wouldn't go that route if there was no point.
City's special forces know Messi's contract in detail and exactly know what they are doing.
If Barca refuse to negotiate Messi will insist on his free right to work, FIFA will allow a preliminary transfer, he will start the season in sky blue and our and Messi's lawyers will do the rest while we are guessing new line-ups again.
The risk of a high compensation is limited and the risk of severe bans must be extremely low, otherwise all this won't happen.

Reposting what i said in the other thread.
"As a barca fan,i would advice you all to follow hagrid strictly for barca news.He only agregates tier 2/tier 1 news unlike barcacentre or city chief/city xtra.Go through his tweets and replies,he even squashes poor sources or tells which sources are unreliable(hit or miss)."

Can't believe the new reports, saying he can go on a free IF he sits out for a year

Shameless, pathetic club
