Messi’s Dad isn’t stupid and he knows that Bartomeu won’t change his stance even if he has to fly halfway across the world to meet him. What I think is that when this shit inevitably goes to court, Messi’s camp can point to the meeting to show that they were trying to negotiate with Barca in good faith, which I think would go a long way in a court case. They will say that they absolutely tried everything to resolve this amicably with Barcelona and that going to court is the last resort for them. And that they tried to negotiate with Barca even though Messi’s contract stipulates that he can leave for free.

IF Messi refuses to change his mind, he will leave Barca. The worst option would be, he stops playing football.

It all comes into play fully if & when he leaves either with Barca's agreement or starts a FIFA/ court procedure.

If El Presidente stops being a dick about it, they may come to an agreement, which may, then involve us.
