Its clear the desire to move is still very much there but this statement doesn't bring this one inch closer to conclusion.

So when does the next season 'start' the day of the opening game or when the fixtures are drawn? There would need to be dates so the club can plan, the start/end cannot span the final whistle of the CL final to the first whistle of the opening game, surely? How could a club plan?
Anyway, hopefully I am wrong and he is a free agent!!
