I must admit to being a little concerned at the lack of movement on Koulibaly, City are absolutely adamant they aren't paying the money quoted.

We must surely have a back up at this late stage. We were linked to the lad at Sevilla previously, and Upemecano would be surely easier with Angelino in the equation?

Also no chatter on another striker, still expect Messi late offer.

How late?
After deadline or before?

Upamecano all day and night for me, raw, but very talented.
Great to get both in and let Stones, Garcia and Otto go, major upgrade.

Not sure a late offer for Messi is a good idea for us, as we'll give Bartomeu the opportunity to lord it publicly about how firm a stance he takes.

I’d prefer Upamecano to Diego Carlos. He makes needless fouls for fun.

If we don’t replace Kompany 2 years on it would be very frustrating. seems to be so many egos involved both at Napoli and with us.

Barca reportedly after Martinez like ourselves if the rumours are true. Could we give them a free run at Martinez for a Messi-Garcia swap plus cash maybe?

Diego Carlos on the move coming from Sevilla, saying a club is interessted in the release clause

Anymore on Grealish mate? Know he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but imo he would be decent for us.

The rumour on Upemecano is that he has been tapped to join Bayern next summer.

On Messi, a late offer makes no sense. The only way Barça sell is if his sale allows a rebuild. A late sale makes it very difficult for them to get players in.

While in some ways I’d love to see is tell ADL to do one, the gulf in class between himself and Diego Carlos is incredible. He conceded penalties in 3 successive Europa League matches, Otamendi isn’t that stupid. It would be incredibly poor planning to haggle over Koulibaly for 2 months abs then get our 2nd choice with very little preparation time for the new season.

Perhaps it’s a hangover from the Lyon of a general feeling of malaise from last season but it doesn’t feel like anyone at City has a firm hand on the tiller at the moment.
