Wound up in the courts today over debts of £500,000. Very sad for the fans and any genuine people connected to the club.

Can anyone explain what really happened there? Idiots running the show?

bigger clubs than macc will fold over the next year or so, football league and the FA should be getting hold of football and try to stop this happening because of covid-19, maybe letting clubs go semi professional in the football league

With no gate receipts and reduced prize money this year in cup competitions the lower divisions are in for a tough time.

I think a few more will get into trouble financially with no real income for months. Southend are mentioned as being one whom owe tax and in court in October.

Southend were up for winding up today in the same court session as Macc, they were given an extension period on a similar figure. I would imagine without an investor stumping the money up they could be gone too.
