The critics don't want to look carefully at the details. He even addressed these cricisms specifically on a podcast over the summer.

I'm also not saying he's brilliant or perfect.

I left out the story about the 2 year ban not happening...

I think a lot of people kid themselves that you can have a Pep team and it can be solid defensively all the time against everyone. Puyol and the ex rag conceded 5 against Madrid once and our January signing got them out of the cag with six goals.
A team that only plays with one DM will inevitably be vulnerable, the pay off is wonderful attacking football.
I watched Nico keep Madrid out all game (the season he was poty in Spain and then pop up with a goal to win it at the end, but they defended with 8/9 behind the ball.
Whoever we sign, be prepared for him to make mistakes and dont rag his arse.
 
Anyone watched this guy a lot with an opinion?

Not seen much other than Europa League where he looked ok but missed a couple of headed chances but I suppose at least he got there.

Just pleased Koulibaly seems to be off the radar.
